Xuexue agreed with a nod, and the two girls, each carrying a small basket which held a sickle, a bamboo tube filled with water, and dry food, set out. It was difficult to find water sources in the mountains, so they prepared to drink from those in the deep mountains.

"Sister, why can't we bring Xiao Gougou with us?" Chuner asked, looking up at Xuexue as they walked.

The two little ones had grown accustomed to playing together, indeed, a day apart felt like an eternity.
