"But she is Yinyin after all, and she respects the same parents as I do."

During those brief few seconds, Su Beibei undoubtedly gave the performance of her life. An uninformed person, upon seeing just her few words followed by her just-executed splendid acting, could easily be misled into thinking she was truly aggrieved, silently enduring, only wishing for peace at home.

Su Yin observed the display, the corner of her lips curled up in a mocking smile.

It seemed that Su Beibei's acting skills had improved quite a bit after not seeing her for several days.

Su Yin pinched her nose and exaggeratedly looked at Guo Ran, her eyes showing a touch of scorn.

"Guo, did you just catch the strong scent of green tea? When did the mall start selling tea leaves?"

Guo Ran was quick on the uptake and immediately picked up on Su Yin's remarks, exclaiming even more dramatically, "Right? The smell is so intense it's nauseating. Bumping into such clueless twits first thing in the morning really does spoil the day."

Su Yin couldn't help but chuckle out loud, gave Guo Ran a thumbs up, and said cheerfully, "The word 'spoiled' sums it up perfectly."

The two of them went back and forth with their sarcastic banter, nearly causing Su Beibei to lose her composure.

Su Beibei forcefully twisted the inside of her wrist, quickly summoning tears to her eyes.

"Yinyin, can you please not hate me so much?"

Su Yin scrutinized her with interest, her eyes brimming with mockery. She stared intently at Su Beibei, her voice harsh, "Su Beibei, I remember warning you before — don't try those low-down tricks in front of me. I'm not interested in those things you care about. I advise you not to provoke me again."

Su Beibei's body trembled, and tears swirled in her eyes, looking profoundly distressed as if Su Yin's words had dealt her a deep blow.

Cui Tao angrily took Su Beibei's hand and said,

"You're a counterfeit, yet you're shamelessly boasting here. Beibei is just too kind-hearted. If it were me, I would have kicked you out of the capital city long ago."

The salesclerk was watching the escalating conflict between the four, names slowly coming to light, and her amazement grew. So this was the fake heiress!

She's no longer part of the Su Family and still dares to buy such an expensive bracelet?!

She should have given those two a piece of her mind just now!

The next moment, she turned to Su Beibei and Cui Tao with a smile, "Miss Su Beibei, getting angry is bad for the liver. There's no need to waste your energy on people who aren't worth it. You want this bracelet, right? I'll wrap it up for you now."

The salesclerk instantly spread her hands with an innocent smile, "You just said you wanted to have a look, you didn't say you wanted to buy it~ These two ladies came in and said to wrap it up right away. How can you blame me?"

A hint of a smile flickered in Su Beibei's eyes. There's a saying that scoundrels will get their due, and now even a casually met salesclerk couldn't stand her.

Su Yin... you're truly worse off than a dog.

The next moment, Su Beibei pursed her lips slightly, hesitated, then turned to Su Yin with a timid voice, "Yinyin, I really like this jade bracelet. If I buy it, will you be unhappy?"

Before Su Yin could reply, Cui Tao eagerly spoke up, "Beibei, this bracelet is priced around forty million, and she couldn't afford such a fine piece in ten lifetimes. She's no longer any heiress of the Su Family, but a well-known fraud. Why do you even consider her feelings?"

Guo Ran clenched her fists so tightly they crackled with rage.

Just as she was about to speak up again, she caught a warning look from Su Yin. Her companion shook her head and placed a hand on her wrist, signaling her to calm down.

The show had just begun; there was no need to get upset over such trifles.

But just as Su Yin was about to speak, Su Beibei suddenly turned to Cui Tao and nodded understandingly, "Xiaotao, you make a good point. Yinyin might be holding a grudge against me right now. If I insist on buying four bracelets, she simply won't have the money. It would only embarrass her. I should snatch this bracelet away."

As she spoke, she couldn't help but look at Su Yin with a mix of helplessness and sorrow, "Yinyin, you know I'm not intentionally competing with you. Everything I do is for you."

Guo Ran: "..."

Cui Tao looked at Su Beibei with an admiring face, "Beibei, you're truly selfless!"

Guo Ran burst out laughing, no longer heeding Su Yin's attempt to stop her, she scolded angrily, "Are these even human words?!"

Su Beibei instantly shook her head with an innocent look, "Yinyin, you know that's not what I meant."

Su Yin looked at her coldly, "You have to compete with me?"

Cui Tao rolled her eyes, "Pretending to be something you're not without money, do you think you're worthy?"

Su Beibei immediately grabbed Cui Tao's hand, frowning slightly, "Xiaotao."

"Alright, alright, I'll stop talking."

Su Yin let out a cold laugh. Su Beibei was really good at playing her part, but she did enjoy her act that day, only wondering if she could handle what was to come.

Then she said indifferently, "Since you like it so much, I'll give it to you. Just don't try to intercept again, otherwise, I won't let you off!"

A sneer flitted across Su Beibei's eyes. She opened her mouth to say something, but Su Yin, without even looking at her, pulled Guo Ran and left.

However, Cui Tao turned and looked at Su Yin's retreating figure, shouting with utmost disgust, "Do you think you're still who you were before? What right do you have to speak to Beibei like that! Thinking about what I did to you in the past, damn, it's really bad luck!"

Su Yin's steps faltered as she walked out, looking back at Cui Tao with undisguised scorn and ridicule shining in her clear eyes.

"You used to fawn over me, now you're fawning over Su Beibei. Living like a dog every day, aren't you tired? But then again, how could you receive so many luxury goods if you didn't suck up to Su Beibei? You cherish the things others have grown tired of and throw away as if they are treasures; it's truly pitiful."

Cui Tao's face turned red with anger, her eyes looked as if they could shoot fire, and she gritted her teeth as she lunged at Su Yin, "Su Yin, you bitch! I'll tear your mouth apart!"

She raised her hand fiercely, but before the slap could land, Su Yin caught Cui Tao's wrist mid-air, holding it firmly.

Cui Tao's face changed, unable to shake off Su Yin's grip no matter how hard she tried.

A glint of ruthlessness flashed in Su Yin's eyes, and a slight increase in force caused Cui Tao to twist in pain.

"Ah!!!"

Su Yin flung Cui Tao's hand away, and the latter fell on her butt to the ground. Su Yin sneered, "Thinking of getting physical? Weigh yourself and see if you're up to it."

Cui Tao immediately howled in pain. Su Beibei hurriedly came forward, helping Cui Tao up, with a mix of shock and anger, she asked, "Yinyin, how can you hit Xiaotao?"

Su Yin took out a disinfectant wipe from her bag and meticulously cleaned her hand, her gaze full of disgust as if she had just touched some trash.

"Su Beibei, control your dog. If it happens again, don't blame me for taking care of you too!"

Having said that, Su Yin threw the wipe into a nearby trash can and walked away nonchalantly with Guo Ran.

Cui Tao's face was deathly pale, staring fixedly at Su Yin's back, her teeth grinding together.

"Su Yin, I will definitely not let you go!"

This Su Yin, how come she seemed like a completely different person?
