Alpha blood

In the east.

A cloaked, tall man dragged his feet into the main road. He's in the middle of nowhere. Without any more food supply left and enough energy, he is nearly at the cliff of death.

His stumped body buckles once he reaches the main road and falls.

After a while of going in and out of consciousness, he hears a wagon approaching.

"Aye, is that a corpse? It's blocking the way!"

It stopped in front of him. Sets of feet dropped down from the wagon and inspected him. He roughly croaks up, "H-Help…"

"It's alive!"

He was hoisted up by several hands and dragged to the wagon. He was given water and bread and he received them greedily. They watched him quietly as he finished the food and regained energy.

While he ate, he observed the men. Commoners. Travelers, probably, from their clothing and them coming to this road, which is desolate and an uncommon road.

"…Thank you," he says in the middle of eating.
