The Bastard Yuan Shao!

Soon enough me and Cai Yan followed along Kong Rong before being brought into a Tea Parlor where a woman, who was his wife Kong Ce, went and prepared tea for us before leaving us be.

"So tell me Xuan'er, I hope you don't mind me calling you that, but how exactly did you save my niece from the bandits of Pengcheng? I can't imagine you were able to charge in, spear in hand, and cut them down on the level of Lu Bu when it comes with dealing with his enemies." Kong Rong asked me before he drank some of the freshly made green tea.

"Well funny story…. Actually I had gotten captured by the bandits two days before Cai Yan was captured by them." I said while scratching the side of my face.

Kong Rong's cheeks puffed up as if he was holding back a laugh, especially with tea in his mouth to which he covered his mouth and drank it quickly, *Cough! Cough!* "You-you got caught by the bandits before she was captured?" He said coughing while catching his breath while trying not to laugh.

"You know, I don't really mind if you laugh, I wasn't thinking even though I knew there were bandits up in those mountains, I just didn't know they had taken over the Grand Temple of Confucius and used it as their base of operations." I said with a slightly dejected look on my face, 'Stupid NPC me! What were you thinking?!?!'

"Hah! Haha! Ohh don't feel so bad about it, I'm just glad that both of you were able to escape in the end, you know I am a good friend of your older cousin Gongsun Zan, speaking of which, how is the war going on his part?" He decided to ask me before which info I had already etched into my mind from NPC me came back to the forefront of my mind.

"…. Ahh yes, after after older cousin started his march on Dong Zhou and the Han empire and taking a few settlements you should have heard the offer that Yuan Shao made to him…. And his betrayal of him as well…." I say holding my hands tightly as a anger was starting to come back to me thinking about that bastard Yuan Shao.

I may not have lived this life personally and it's like going off of Autopilot and going back to manual drive but all the emotions and feelings and people that I cared about in that time are etched into my very soul.

"Yes I heard…. Your Father, Gongsun Shu, was a great man, and I'm sorry that you lost him in the fires of war…. War is a terrible thing, but we live in an era where family members have no choice but to bury their loved ones that fall in war…." Kong Rong said sadly as he could clearly see and feel the pain that laid bare on my face.

"…. Yuan Shao is nothing but a Coward and a Bastard, not even giving my father a fair duel as he had his men shot him in the back while they fought before killing him…. All the Yuan's are slimy bastards, him and Yuan Shu…." I said as I let my head hang low before I felt Cai Yan's gentle hand rest on my shoulder.

"I know how it feels to lose a parent…. I'm sorry it happened to you as well…." She said before moving her arms and hugging me from the side to which I pulled myself out of my sadness and anger and became surprised with my eyes going wide.

"Oh? Should I tell your father to prepare himself a Wedding Banquet(which includes a Fish Course, Suckling Pig, Cooked Duck and Sweet Lotus Seed Desert) for the two of you?" He said with a smug look which gets both Cai Yan, and me hearing him jump the gun straight to marriage, begin to freak out.

"Wh-What are you saying Uncle!" (Cai Yan)

"Ye-Yeah! We just met only a few days ago! Going straight to marriage when we barely know each other is too much!" (Me)

"Oh I don't know about that, I think you two would make a cute couple, besides Xuan'er your nearly at marrying age aren't you? It's not uncommon for men to get married before one turns twenty, and it's a sign of prosperity for a man to be married when they become a man, besides if you asked her father for her hand in marriage I know he would gladly accept it if his daughter married the prodigy of the Gongsun family and her personal savior." He said as he went on to mess with us.

"On top of that Cai Yan is only 17, it's a boon for her to marry a strong man who is closer to her age compared to some of the older nobles that are around my age." He says as Cai Yan's face goes bright red as she covers her face before steam come out of her head.

'Huh, I guess anime tropes are real in this world, Wait! Stop thinking about stupid things!' I think as I look up at the steam coming out of her head before shaking my head.

Though as Kong Rong was going to proceed to tease us some more for the fun of it, their was a knock on the door, but it was two knocks then a short pause and two more knocks making Kong Rong shift his mood from hearing those knocks.

"Come Wu Anguo." As that knock was specifically from his Chancellor and Major General for his army's.

The hulking bear of a man with one arm missing from one of his battles against Lu Bu who was still under Dong Zhou's control back in 189 prior to the previous emperor's death, in its place he had a wooden hand along with wooden forearm as a replacement.

(Wu Anguo)

He came inside with his large mace holstered onto his back, "Sorry to interrupt, but you need to read this, a messenger arrived and gave this to the guards." He said before handing the letter to Kong Rong.

He took the letter before looking at it and reading it before his face got tense as he sighed and put it down as he leaned back in his chair as a sigh escaped his lips, "And War comes for us now…."

"Uncle, what's wrong? What do you mean war?" Cai Yan couldn't help but ask as we both got our acts together.

"Yuan Shao…. He and His Son Yuan Tan have declared War on me and my territory, if I had to guess he assumes it would be easier for him to make his way into Central China and around CaoCao's forces when he decides to finally go to war with him." Kong Rong said before he looked towards Wu Anguo.

"Go, gather the men, we soon march to war." He said as Wu Anguo nodded before taking his leave his leave.

"Well, I wished this didn't happen today of all days, but I knew a war with the Yuan family was an inevitability, and no before you even think of asking Xuan'er I'm not taking one who has yet to recognize as a man into the theater of war, and no matter what you say to me will make me change my mind Gongsun Xuanyuan." He said to me, preempting me from what I was going to ask.

"But if you want to help, I do have a way, take Yan'er and bring her to her father in Langye, when you deliver her there I want you to meet Liu Bei and his followers, luckily the war with CaoCao has come to a temporary halt for now while he focuses his attention on Yuan Shu who is rising in power to the southwest of his territory's." He said before getting up from his seat towards a nearby bookshelf before he pulled out a scroll and brought it to me.

"And hand this to him, it will let him know that I need his help, and hopefully he will help me in this war, even if only a little bit, but that will be enough in the end." He said to which I took it in my hand as I nodded.

"You have my word, I will bring Cai Yan back to her father!" I said with a determined look in my eyes as I would love nothing more to see the fall of the Yuan family.

"Good, your a brave young man, but I can see you have a good head on your shoulders, when you are of age I know whoever you choose to follow, or even when the time comes that you lead a force of your own, that you have the markings of greatness bestowed upon you." He said while giving me some words of encouragement which spoke to me deeply and that I was happy to hear.

"Now I will have a horse prepared for you both, Langye is a days journey by horseback and three days on foot, so the sooner you both arrive the better." He said as he began to walk out of the room where both me and Cai Yan got up and followed after him.

(N) Those rewards aren't Titles and more like Permanent/Temporary Buffs and Debuffs depending upon whether he completes or fails a mission such as the rewards for the first quest being him getting in the good graces of Kong Rong, Liu Bei and Cai Wang along with Liu Bei sending aid to Kong Rong since the two of them are good friends and are willing to save him in his time of need.

Also the Buffs and Debuffs will only effect the current 'playthrough' of his story in the three kingdoms as everything will be reset in the next story he decides to walk.

And don't worry as later on when he gets more lovers and refuses to lose them from starting another story in that world, let's just say the Yellow Emperor has that all figured out.
