4 Dinner date!

Sophie was uncertain whether to be furious or just go with the flow.

It was because the unspeakable thing na nangyari sa kanya with her gagong ex boyfriend. 

Her past relationship leaves a deep scar into her heart. Since then, she did not socialized herself with any men.

Sophia put a barrier between genders outside her safe zone, except for their company's male executives, directors, associates and any other events that required her present, only then she'll talked to them.

She clenched her hands tightly. Talagang kumukulo ang dugo nya pag naaalala ang tarandatong lalaki.

This was after all her aunt's effort to find her a suitable partner to be. So she decided to be polite, at the very least.

"Sino ako?"

Sophie mirked.

"Mess up is my middle name, wag ka lang talagang gumawa ng dahilan para magulpi kita!"

She thought angrily and took a deep breath before opening the door.

Muntik na sya mapabulanghit ng tawa. .where on earth did my aunt found this clown?

There, stood a man, smiling brightly, holding a paper bag. He was wearing an ill-fitting dull blue suit, a green shirt, a bloody red tie and a brown shoes.

She had known too many men whose egos were involved in how elegant they thought they looked but this one is rather different.

Napataas bigla ang kanyang kilay. What is this? She thought ruefully.

Iniabot nito sa kanya ang paper bag, and for politeness sake that she had promise to her aunt tinanggap nya ito with "thank you!"

Thoughful! she thought while observing him, closely.

Nails? It was perfectly neat but she saw a trace of nail polished na para bang madalian lang nitong binura.

Except his un oriented fashion style everything is perfectly fine. 

Perfectly fine! na parang babae?

But as she was observing him, he looks rather anxious na para bang may kiti-kiti sa upuan nito.

A stage play?

There is something strange with this man!

"By the way, I'm Jeff—"

He suddenly paused while looking at her in a very uncertain expression.

"Jefferson!"

Nakita nya ang pag lunok nito ng laway, bago iniabot sa kanya ang kamay.

"Sophie! "

Tipid nyang sabi, there's no need to introduced herself as she assumed that he already knew who she is.

"Wait tika! Parang may mali?"

Ani Sophia na napakunot ang noo.

"Mahinhin kung kumilos? Malambot na kamay na parang babae? walang adams apple?"

Bigla syang napatingin sa may lalamunan ng lalaki, saka niya napagtanto ang tunay na pagkatao nito.

"Dont tel me—ahhhh!"

Anyang di mapigilan ang mapabuga ng hangin, it was a sigh of relief.

"Well—well, let me test you!"

Anyang umandar ang kapilyahan.

"You should order!"

Anya na tila ba nakalimutan na nilang dinner date ang drama nila ngayong gabi.

He was probably drawn somewhere kaya di nito napansin ang mahabang katahimikan sa pagitan nila.

"I must apologized to you but I think we should not—"

He looked at her with a trace of nervousness.

"Go on. !"

Sophia said and waved her hand to make him continue.

"I mean I have to go, I— I was forced to do this, as you see—"

"Ah!"

Sophia nodded, she already understand the situation and all her uneasiness was gone.

She was right, after all!

She noticed from the very beginning that there's something off with him.

"I understand, You don't have to explained. I'm not interested at all—"

"Talaga.?"

Anitong bigla nalang nag iba ang boses, she almost choked from the wine ng marinig ang boses nito.

Napatango sya and smiled. This time it was genuine.

"Lets just finished this dinner, If you don't mind?"

Having a good company is not bad at all!

ani Sophia sa sarili, hindi naman sya lalaki and he looks harmless, napatawa sya sa salitang harmless!

"Let's go somewhere to relaxed, not this kind of a stressful stage play.!"

"Im so happy — I mean, as you see I'm the only son in the family but I could not tell my father that instead of having five daughters, he actually had six!"

This time napabulanghit sya ng tawa, he just admitted it.

"We can't forced ourselves—you know!"

"But my father is already old, aatakihin sa puso yong matanda pag nalaman nyang bakla pala ang unico hijo niya!"

Anyang nagpipitik ng kamay at ginagaya ang itsura ng ama.

She laughed out loud. Hindi nya namalayan na nag e enjoy na pala sya sa presensya ng bagong kakilala.

The supposed, tragic dinner date na napicture out nya ay kabaliktaran pala ang resulta.

"I know I could trust you!"

He smiled at her.

"Saka I heard about you—hindi ka naman pala ganun ka demonyita!"

Biglang napataas ang kilay ng dalaga. So she's really known for being a demoness, ice queen and a she devil, lahat lahat na yata ng masamang kapintasan sa mundo nasakanya na.

It's like her life is an open book at lahat na yata ng tao sa mundo knew about her but for her, it's not something to be embarrassed with.

"I wouldn't be surprised about it."

Anya matapos ang mahabang katahimikan sa pagitan nila.

"People has all the opinions in the world. They always inclined the cart before the horse, mga judgemental, but let them be —Let's just lived our life the way we wanted!"

Patayin nalang natin yong mga lalaking manloloko! she though bitterly. Hindi sya galit sa mga taong nag sasabi ng masama tungkol sa kanya behind her back.

Mas galit siya sa mga lalaking manloloko at mapagsamanlata sa kahinaan nga mga babae!

They have reasons to say so and for hell she cares about it. She have her reason, too.

And the funniest thing that she realized, most people knew how bad her attitude is, but no one actually knew what she felt and what kind of hell she had been through all this time.

Ang masakit sa lahat ay siya lang ang nakakaalam kung ano man ang pinagdadaanan niya ngayon!

There's no one she could confined.

Dahil lahat sila, kung di man takot sa kanya, ang iba naman ay madalas umiiwas sa kanya na para bang may nakakahawa syang sakit.

"Am I that intimidating?"

Wala sa sariling napatango si Jeff. It was an honest question that deserved a sincere answer.
