3 months

I wake up to the sun beaming into my eyes, my curtains wide open and old food containers on the table. "Urgh, what time is it?" the old, white clock showed ten forty-six.

"Fuck! I'm going to be late!" I put on my blue jean jacket and run out of my apartment. I check my phone to see when the bus takes off.

"Urgh! Why'd I have to remember her! She's long gone idiot." I run as fast as possible to reach my bus.

"I made it just in time!"

I hear someone from a far yell, "Wait! Please wait!"

I look to my left before I step into the bus and see a beautiful woman, blond, curly hair and glistening blue eyes. I stop staring and ask the bus driver to wait 2 more minutes.

As she breathes heavily, she says "Thank you so much! I thought I wasn't going to make it!"

I look at her and give her a warm smile "You're welcome."

As we walk to the back of the bus, I see there's only one seat left and I look at her and say "Here take a seat."

As she sits and calms down, she looks around and realizes that was the last seat and says "Wait, what about you! I can stand! Don't worry!"

I cover my mouth with my hand and giggle, I look at her and say with a cheerful voice, "It's alright. You did run like it's your last day on earth, so!"

She first gives me a surprised look and then giggles "Alright then, next time you take the seat."

I hear the bell for the next stop ring and realize this is where I need to be. As I run out of the bus I wave my hand and yell with a smile, "It's a deal!"

"Phew! I made it! The hospital…"

I walk into the room and sit down. The doctor says, "We have your results and-"

I cut him off and say smiling, "How long?"

he answers while stuttering "Around three months… I suggest you to do whatever makes you happy, make the best out of it. Spend time with your fam-"

A nurse cuts him off and says, "Doctor, He doesn't have any family left…"

With a calm, composed expression I answer, "Thank you." I walk out of the room and go to the toilet almost about to burst into tears, "I got this, I've been alone for a long time. Just a bit more." I wash my face, smile to myself in the mirror and head home.
