Chapter 2: Reincarnated into a yandere otome game. Yay.

My eyes slowly fluttered open. Pain (though it was way less painful than what I had recently experienced) swarmed in sore spots of my body. It felt more like I was beaten up by some crazy strong gangsters rather than being run over by a truck. Other than that, a warm yet cold feeling coursed through me, seeming to originate from the center of my chest. Although the warm and cold sensations were in the same spot and overlapping, they did not mix, creating a weird feeling that I had not experienced before, but I am guessing the sensation was similar to running cold water on hot oil residing on your skin. I got out of the bed, and slowly walked around the room, starting to survey my surroundings, which clearly didn't seem to be a modern hospital. Wait… walked? My legs definitely had been run over. Unless I somehow managed to travel to the future or was currently being involved in a super-secret test, it shouldn't have been possible to stand, much less walk. And if I was in a coma for years, my legs would have been too weak to walk because the body tends to have an annoying habit of getting rid of everything and anything it thinks it doesn't need. Including leg muscles. I turned my head down to observe my legs, yet before my eyes got even close to reaching, I freaked out.

'Why the hay do I look so… animated?!?'

My neck, my dress, my feet… they were all the type you would see on a 2-D anime character child.

"WHAT?!" I screamed, too confused to be startled by my words that came out a tad bit louder than I thought it would. I quickly surveyed the room again and ran towards a mirror. The 3-D 17 yr old with dark brown hair and eyes were nowhere to be found, and instead, a young anime yet familiar child stared back at me. I turned around, it turned around. I raised my hand, it raised my hand.

'Nani…?'

I looked around my room once more, this time paying attention to how my room looks compared to a 3-D normal room. Sure enough,

'It's all 2-D?!' confusion swarmed around me 'Okay so let's sort this out. I was hit by truck-kun, who was driven by a person who looks eerily like a reality version of the main character from Isekai Transporter. Judging by how I was completely driven over, I can be quite sure I am dead. I then wake up into a 2-D anime space, where I turn to an anime character who looks oddly familiar'

'Why does this scenario feel so nostalgic?' It then came to me, 'isn't this the common scenario of all isekai pieces of literature?? In which the mc is hit by a truck and reincarnated into an otome game/light novel/comic?? Is this some kinda joke? Am I in a VR?'

Deciding that acting crazy and simply asking questions wasn't going to get me any answers, so I forced myself to calm down, and think about the scenario.

'Okay, all the reasons as to why this is happening don't make much sense. Although some do more than others, they are still quite unreasonable, and therefore let's assume the worst scenario. I was reincarnated here, and this will be my life from now on.'

The only reason why I was able to act like this is that unexpected big events normally take a LONG time to digest. Therefore, I decided to skip the digestion part and go straight to the acceptance part. I suppose this worked out quite well for me.

After a bit of digging, I found that I was reincarnated as the villainess in an otome game I had just finished. How unique and original (note the sarcasm). Sage, the child of a marquess, and the pitied villainess of the otome game 'Blood Like Rubies'. In this old-European-time otome game, there was only one route, the reverse harem route. However, there were a LOT of bad endings, as all of the capture targets happened to be YANDERES! Yay, being reincarnated as the villainess in a yandere filled otome game (once again, please note the sarcasm)! While I didn't have any memories as Sage, I could luckily read the language. I wrote down what I know on the backs of worksheets that Sage had been working on, writing down about Sage in English, so as to not arouse too much suspicion.

SAGE:

History:

After her mother was found to be a spy (who committed suicide after being found out), Sage was greatly mistreated by her father. Because Sage could not be given to the orphanage (that would cause rumors about the Marquis's financial state, and therefore, the number of people investing in his shops would reduce) Sage lived with the Marquis, however, was only slightly better off than a commoner. The crown prince got a bit suspicious of Sage when he realized the marquis's attitude when talking about her, and therefore dug into the matter, to find out about how Sage was mistreated. The marquis was then fined and forced to take care of Sage better. The crown prince took pity on Sage and helped her out. These actions got Sage to have a crush on the crown prince. When entering the academy (where the otome game starts) Sage was the only friend to the heroine, who was a commoner. However, after finding the crown prince liked the heroine, she got jealous and started causing roomers of the heroine in order for the crown prince and heroine to distance each other. Due to her guilt about this, she was pitied by many who played the otome game, gaining the name 'the pitied villainess'.

Relationships:

Marquis/Father - Hates Sage

Brother - after not seeing Sage much, but seeing how his father hates Sage, he began to unconsciously dislike Sage too

Mother - dead

Abilities:

In this world, there is mana and magic. The villainess has average mana, however, she has a 'unique magic' (the magic that doesn't fit into any of the elements) which is to tell if anyone is lying. Even if they say the truth but attempt to trick her, it doesn't work, and instead, the truth just comes out of them. She also has an aptitude for air magic.

Ending:

After being found as the cause of rumors, she was stripped of their title at the order of the crown prince. She says softly 'I truly wanted to be friends with you… heroine' before being escorted by the guards. Shortly after, she 'mysteriously' died (capture target responsible is unknown), and the heroine is cheered up by her yandere harem.

Satisfied with what I had written, and hungry, I was about to go out of my room before I tripped on something unexpected.

"W-what is this?? This shouldn't be here!"

A modern and expensive looking phone, that should not exist here, touched my miniature toes. On the lock screen, one message notification read:
