"What happened to my son?!" Seokjin's mother shrieked, rushing up to Seokjin in horror, and dropped down beside him.
"Call the medical team!" His father howled while dabbing the sweat off Seokjin's forehead in panic.
"No. No one's allowed to touch him," I smiled, folding my arms with a smug smile. Seokjin-ah... How does it feel? All the pain you caused... can you feel it?
"SORA!" Namjoon bellowed sharply at me.
"I'm sure you brought your own doctor," I mumbled, waving at the medical team, warning them to stay in their position.
"Did you do this to my son?! Was it you?!" Seokjin's father roared angrily at me. Oh, look at those outrageous eyes. Did it ever occur to him how many people his son murdered?
"He willingly drank it. It wasn't me," I chuckled lowly at Mr. Kim. I gambled and offered my bottle, but Seokjin refused... he chose his fate.
"You- you!-" Mr. Kim gritted, turning to glare at me but didn't get to finish his sentence because he suddenly clenched onto his chest in pain. Apah? Does it hurt? The pain you're feeling is nothing compared to the amount of pain you caused.
"Get the yacht ready! We're leaving now!" Namjoon howled, turning to glare at me in rage. Kim Namjoon, you play with your mind, and no one can ever beat it... that's true... so I'll play with my impulse. Ah... it's very satisfying to watch.
"No. Lockdown the entire island. No one's allowed to leave. This is an order," I dully ordered as I got onto my feet.
"Sora-"
"Whoever disobeys me will suffer the same fate as Hyun Jiwoo," I warned, cutting Hoseok off, then turned to stare at the quiet crowd with my deadly gaze. That's right... I'm a psychopath. Watch me play my power card.
"HAJIMA! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!" Namjoon suddenly roared, violently grabbing onto my shoulders. He squeezed me so hard- I thought my bones cracked into pieces.
"YAH! HANDS. OFF. HER. NOW," Taehyung suddenly slammed his fist on the picnic table so hard- glasses flew off the table and shattered into pieces. Taehyung was on his feet, glaring murderously at Namjoon from the far end of the table.
"You'll regret this," Namjoon spat, hastily letting go of me before bending down to heave Seokjin up and walked away with their staff and guards. Mr. Kim is having a stroke from his sudden outbursts, so the guards had to help him back to the mansion.
"Sora, this is war," Hoseok gritted, turning to look me dead in the eyes.
"Are you on the winning or losing side?" I asked, turning to smile at him with an evil expression. A flash of fear swept across Hoseok's face as he stood staring at me in disbelief.
I was their fear, even if I did nothing. They feared me. Even if I had no intention of hurting them. I will always be their fear regardless of my intentions. Therefore, I'll show them what I'm really capable of committing. They think I'm stupid, sure. I act recklessly but did they expect me to kill a supreme alpha right in front of everyone? No. I'm not like them. I don't hesitate- I am the monster they're so afraid of. I am the living devil they've created.
I locked up the entire island, so no one could leave or enter. Seokjin and Namjoon's followers weren't happy about it, so they took over the East Wing of the Jung's mansion to protect Seokjin. None of the guards could enter the East wing since The Kims had their guards armed. But it didn't matter. They lack medical supplies. Their doctors can't save Seokjin, so I'll just retain them until he dies.
"You really are something," Appa clapped, walking up to me as I stood gazing at the gloomy sea from the balcony.
"I told you, I get to choose my kill," I replied while staring at the dark clouds on the horizon. The sea is weirdly calm despite the dark skies.
"I'm proud of you," Appa smiled, placing his hand on mine, lightly squeezing it.
"You're proud of how badly you fucked me up?" I scoffed, ironically turning to stare at him. He's proud of a murderous daughter?
"Of course, it isn't the best method to kill him in front of so many eyes, but at least we don't have to deal with him anymore," Appa sighed, averting his eyes to the sea.
"Come with me," Taehyung suddenly grabbed my upper arm and tried to drag me out of the room. What is he doing? Why does he look so upset?
"Whatever you're trying to do, don't ruin it," Appa firmly gripped my hand to stop Taehyung from tugging me away.
"Sora. Come. With. Me," Taehyung gritted, keeping his eyes trained on appa. For some reason, appa looks very sore.
"I'm doubting you. This isn't what we agreed on, did we?" Appa slyly smirked at Taehyung, who turned stiff, but he kept his eyes on my father anyways. Taehyung promised to explain his ties with my parents, but he kept avoiding me.
"I was stupid. I'll be your next mistake, but I won't let her fall for it too," Taehyung shot my father a sharp glare before pulling me out of the room and down the hallways.
"Where-"
"Release Kim Seokjin," Taehyung suddenly halted, furiously turning to stare at me. Is he out of his mind?
"No," I said sternly, staring at him dead in the eyes. Seokjin has to repay for what he did to Yangcha. Blood for blood. Sure, Jiwoo murdered Yangcha, but it was to please Seokjin. So it's his responsibility.
"You have to. You're being shallow," Taehyung warned as he tensed up in distress. I'm baffled, Seokjin is also his greatest rival. Without him, it's only us left. We'll live in peace, so what's the matter with him?
"I've always been stupid! You said you're used to it, so don't stop me-"
"I'm not stopping you! I'm doing this for you! How ignorant can you be?!" Taehyung snapped angrily at me as if he was expecting me to understand him right away. No matter how hard I tried to think it through, I still didn't get it.
"Let him live? For me? How is it good for me?!" I argued in anger. The only way I can live at ease is when Seokjin dies, and he's telling me I need to keep Seokjin alive?!
"It's not Seokjin! It's your parents!-"
"It's both of them! I know what I'm dealing with!" I interrupted Taehyung, causing him to fall silent. His dark eyes burned into mine as I glared at him. Breathing heavily, he slowly tilted his head to the side in frustration with his hands on his hips.
"Oh yeah? What happens when Seokjin dies? As crazy as it sounds- He's the reason your parents can't entirely restrain you," Taehyung lowly gritted at me.
"You're talking nonsense," I shook my head at him in disbelief. I tried to walk away, but he caught my arm and pinned me against the wall before slamming his hands on either side of my head. What is he- Slowly... Taehyung leaned forward with a lethal glare as he pushed his tongue against the side of his mouth.
"Seokjin is your parent's biggest threat. Your parents got the Mins under their control. So what happens when Seokjin dies? Your position as the supreme alpha will no longer threaten your life. Your life is no longer vulnerable because no one's powerful enough to threaten you anymore. And then what? You can only do whatever the fuck you want right now because your parent is afraid of losing you BECAUSE SEOKJIN'S ALIVE! As long as Seokjin stands, your life will always be in danger! And that's the only privilege you have to preserve your freedom! As soon as Seokjin dies, you'll be trapped. Your parents will do whatever they want, and you'll be weak because his death will guarantee your lifelong immunity. You'll end up like Yoongi. Powerless. You'll be your parent's puppet. Is that what you really want? As ironic as it sounds, the last thread of your freedom depends on Seokjin. You'll have to put your life on the line to save yourself from falling into your parent's grasp. Y-You're so focused on killing Seokjin- you've failed to see the trap set right in front of you! Do I have to go further? Or are you going to admit your foolishness?!" Taehyung snapped in frustration while glaring at me with his dark eyes. My heart sank at his words in realization.
If I kill Seokjin... my parents won't be afraid of losing their only heir anymore... which means... I no longer have an excuse to threaten them. He's right... I'm stupid. They're only generous with me because they needed me alive... and without Seokjin... no one can hurt me. I even let them negotiate with the Mins... this can't be... ahhh I'm so fucked. Kim Seokjin is god's favorite, huh?! AISH! I'm so fucking frustrated!
"If Seokjin dies and I lose my freedom. Will it save Jimin?" I gulped sadly at Taehyung.
"Are you really going to destroy yourself for him?" Taehyung stared at me in disappointment.
"Isn't it the things you do for love?" I chuckled, tearing up as I glanced away in pain. Save myself... or save Jimin. Sora... if you can't save yourself, how will you protect him?
"Namjoon's waiting in the lobby," Taehyung sighed, finally letting go of me. I nodded and walked away from him as pain hammered on my chest. What should I do? I can't decide! Arghh! Sora... you know what you have to do. You don't have a choice.
"Sora-"
"I'm fine," I whispered, glancing at Hoseok when he worriedly reached out for me as I got to the lobby entrance of the mansion. Seokjin's guard was arming the corridor to the East Wing while my guards aimed at them from the West Wing.
"Drop the weapons," Taehyung's voice thundered, signaling our guards as he stood beside me. Are you sure about this Sora?- There's nothing I can do! As much as I hate to deny it- Taehyung is right.
"What? Why-"
"Drop it," I ordered, cutting Minho off as he rushed up to us in confusion. The guards seemed baffled, but they did as I requested, so I walked toward Namjoon, who was standing in the middle of the lobby. Ah... I'm going crazy... those prideful eyes.
"Seokjin doesn't have much time. You promised to grant me one wish back then. Let him go," Namjoon stared at me dead in the eyes. Crack. An earsplitting thunder boomed over the island, followed by heavy pouring rain. Aish... even the sky is weeping for Seokjin.
"It seems like he won't make it by water or air," I responded, turning to look at the gray sky. Crack. A violent spark of lightning struck across the dark sky once again. The storm is too dangerous for them to cross...
"So, you've decided to save yourself? Sora, sometimes your real enemies aren't the people around you, but the ones standing beside you," Namjoon smirked, referring to my parents. He knew... He knew I needed Seokjin to dodge my parent's grip.
"We're equal now. I won't let it slide again," I said dully and walked away, signaling the guards to open the mansion's door. I locked eyes with Taehyung as he stood watching me from the opposite end. As much as I wanted to kill Seokjin, this wasn't the right time. If I lose my independence, everyone I care for will be at risk under my parent's power. Seokjin might have Namjoon's brain, but I finally realized I had Taehyung's wisdom. He saved me again. If it weren't for him, I'd be long gone.
About twenty minutes later, a helicopter landed on the roof, right in the rainstorm. They carried Seokjin through the rain and onto the helicopter with Namjoon and his parents as I stood sipping the bitter grape wine. Everything isn't as easy as it seems. He was in my grip. I was so close to killing Seokjin... but I can't. Ah... I'm so upset.
"Why did you let him go?!" Appa burst angrily into the room. I turned around and stared straight at my father's angered face. He's mad... Whatever he does isn't for me... it's for himself. Did I really believe he was ever on my side? He's supposed to be my family... my father. Instead, he's just a bloodthirsty cult leader.
"To save myself, appa," I blankly turned to smile at him. His face turned pale in shock, so I left him there and returned to find the alphas waiting in the lobby.
"They won't make it through that storm," Minah whispered, watching the lightning split the sky into fractures.
"He's god's favorite," I chuckled, plopping down next to Hoseok. They keep on giving me weird glances. I can feel the disappointment... Little did they know that... Out of all the alphas here, I'm the one dying to kill Seokjin. If Seokjin dies... it'll be by my own hand.
"I don't understand. Why did you let Seokjin go???" Mira blurted and glared at me in frustration. They want Seokjin gone as much as they want me gone. I need to keep that in mind.
"He didn't kill Hoseok or Jungkook when he poisoned them. I'm giving him a taste of his own medicine," I whispered, glancing at Jungkook, who was leaning back against the couch with his arm around Minah's shoulder.
"But it wasn't actually Seokjin, was it? Someone did it to impress him," Mira scoffed, eyeing Minah in disgust. Minah gulped and glanced away in annoyance. After the storm passed, all the alphas left the island. Appa and Eomma were pissed at me, so they left first. I was walking down the wooden dock with Hoseok and Taehyung when I noticed Jimin waiting at the end of the dock... with the same blonde-haired girl. She's one of the anonymous alphas. I should get to know her.
"I've seen you around a lot," I greeted, smiling at her before turning to look at Jimin, whose face darkened when he saw me. I haven't seen him around lately. What is he up to?
"And you're the supreme alpha. Jimin told me all about you. I'm Ryu So-young, the 3rd-rank anonymous alpha," She smiled proudly at me. Ahh... such confidence. I don't like her.
"He did? Hah. It's nice to meet you..." I trailed off when she suddenly linked her arm around Jimin's. He gulped nervously and glanced away from me. Hold it in Sora- but she's lingering onto my man!
"Nice to meet you too- Jimin- I'll see you later," She turned to grin at Jimin. He awkwardly shot her a weak smile as I stood watching him in silence. She leaned forward and pecked him on the lips- making my chest churn in pain. Did she kiss him? It's probably nothing. Sora... you need to trust him. Right... It's driving me crazy.
"We have to leave now. It's getting dark," Jungkook announced, striding across the bridge onto the yacht, so Taehyung followed him.
"I'll see you on the other side," Hoseok smiled, pecking my lips after giving me a hug. Hoseok's scent was always a comfort to me for some reason... I don't quite know why, but his scent smelled really familiar. I nodded and brushed past Jimin as I made my way onto the yacht. At the crack of dusk, we left the Jung's Island. The golden sea glowed all the way down to the skyline. The sky turned dark purple the longer I stood leaning against the railing of the yacht's bow to watch the island disappear as the dark sea splashed against the platform below me. I was so close to eliminating Seokjin... but we can never have what we desire most in life, huh? Not even a supreme alpha. Hah... I always called the protagonist in movies stupid for not killing the antagonist when they had a chance to... look who's the fool now? Me. Jang Sora.
"Aren't you cold?" A soft voice whispered against my ear as I felt a pair of arms slithering around my waist.
"I like it," I sighed, leaning against Jimin's firm chest, so he rested his chin on my shoulder. Sometimes I'm too numb to feel any pain, and the next second I'm suffocating from the painful blow in my chest.
"You'll catch a cold," Jimin whispered, tightening his grasp around me.
"Ryu So-young? You guys are something," I chuckled quietly in disbelief. I thought it wasn't anything, but they made it official... and he didn't even tell me? Sora- He has his reasons...
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you, but it's nothing. Trust me. It'll always be you," Jimin mumbled, gently pressing his lips against the side of my neck, sending chills down my spine as he softly kissed me.
"Does she know it's nothing?" I finally asked and turned to stare right at Jimin's dark brown eyes.
"No. She doesn't know," Jimin bit his lips in guilt. I felt a rush of stuffiness stirring inside my chest.
"Then it's real to her," I nodded, glancing away in disappointment. Why do I feel so upset?
"Sora-"
"I trust you. I'm just tired," I whispered, leaning forward to peck Jimin on the cheek and slowly walked away... feeling heavy-headed. Nothing goes my way... not for once... I feel like I'm losing everything. Without another word, I went to the bedroom and lay down in exhaustion. I feel so trapped. Kill Seokjin and fall into my parent's grip or let Seokjin live and suffer while I have control over myself. Either way... I'll still be in pain. It'll never stop.
Jungkook's POV
Thud... thud... thud. I pressed my back against the closet's wall in fear. The ringing of screams and gunshots replayed over and over again in my visions. I was sobbing, internally begging for the scary men to go away. Someone was covering my mouth to keep me from screaming. I silently sobbed... as tears trickled down my cheeks. I couldn't focus, so I turned to find a little girl... covering her ears... tightly shutting her eyes in fright.
"Aish... not again," I groaned hoarsely, sitting up from the couch. I must've dozed off without realizing it. Sighing, I ran my fingers through my hair as the headache pounded in my head. I turned to find Taehyung dozing off on the other couch while Jimin sat up straight but was also asleep.
We'll reach the shore in 30 minutes. Aish. What's with the stupid headache?! I keep on dreaming of the same non-existing visions over and over again. Wae? I thought it was my memories, but appa and Taehyung told me it never happened. Am I going crazy? Shaking my head, I quietly got onto my feet and went over to the counter to get a cup of water, then drained it in thirst. Where's Sora? She's weirdly quiet ever since she freed Seokjin. I carefully placed the cup down and walked around the yacht to search for her but she was nowhere to be found, so I went down to the yacht's lower bedroom cabin, and sure enough- she was coiling on the bed with her arms wrapped around her body.
"If you're cold, why don't you cover yourself?" I mumbled, walking over to pull the blanket over her body, making her stir in her sleep, and that's when I noticed her sweaty forehead. She's having a bad dream? I leaned over to dab my hands gently against her forehead. She's probably the stupidest alpha to ever exist. Who would dare kill a supreme alpha as powerful as her? Jang Sora. Without Seokjin, the society will be a bit more peaceful, but of course, she can't kill him unless she wants to put herself at risk with her parents. Sighing, I stared at her tired and pale face as she innocently snuggled into the pillow.
What is she going through? Her eyes used to be so bright when she first got here. But now... it's empty... even if she smiled... the lights were gone. I used to find her bright eyes annoying, but I kind of miss it now. I haven't told anyone, but she makes me feel at ease from time to time. She can be rude and annoying, but for some weird reason, I like it. I hated her the first time I saw her back at the dinner table because she weirdly reminded me of my mother. Her presence used to bring so many painful memories. But ever since... the night we spent together... her touch... her scent... her voices... felt familiar... too familiar. I still don't understand why but somehow feel very attached to her. I'm trying to decode whatever it is between us, but the more I think of it, the more complicated it gets.
The crew finally announced our arrival at the alpha's private port, so I quickly got up and was about to wake her up, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. How can she sleep so peacefully after yielding a war with the Kims? Aish... I'll never understand her. Sighing, I bent over and carefully lifted her up. Her head flopped weakly against my shoulder as I carried her upstairs.
"Sora- oh," Jimin was about to call for her but stopped when he saw her in my arms. Taehyung was yawning while stretching out his arms.
"She's sleeping like a dead corpse. You don't want to wake up a zombie, do you?" I whispered, jokingly frowning at her peaceful face.
"Let me-"
"Are you crazy? They can't see you together. I'll head out with her first," I shot Jimin a glare when he tried to lift her out of my arms. I carried Sora off the yacht and into the car. I laid her head on my lap, and we headed home together.
A week later
Sora's POV
My parents were so disappointed in me for freeing Seokjin when I had the chance to eliminate him, so they didn't talk to me ever since we got back. As much as I wanted Seokjin dead, I had to save myself. The society was hushed ever since Seokjin fell into a coma from the poison. People avoided me wherever I went. Jungkook, Taehyung, and Jimin had to do double work due to the mess I caused.
"Is your neck alright? Do you feel sick?" Jimin asked, reaching out to examine my neck anxiously.
"Where are you going?" I asked, turning to look at the clock. It's already 9:00 PM, and Jimin's dressed...?
"So-young asked to meet up," Jimin bit his lips quietly and looked away.
"Meet up? At this time? You must be kidding me," I scoffed, feeling super hurt. It's the third time this week. He keeps on going to see her. He keeps saying it's nothing, but I don't feel good about it.
"I know what you're thinking, but it isn't what it is. Trust me, Sora. It's important. I'm doing this for us," Jimin replied, squeezing my hands apologetically.
"Is it because she thinks it's real? I can't even tell what's real or what's not anymore," I shook my head in disbelief. Sure... Hoseok and I kissed, but Hoseok knew it wasn't real. We both knew it wasn't real... but Jimin? It's different.
"I'll make it up to you. Just wait a little longer. I love you," Jimin sighed, leaning in to peck my lips before striding out of the room without another word. We're the real couple, but why do I feel like I'm the one having an affair with Jimin? Sora... something doesn't feel right. Why do you keep on letting him go...? I trust him- What happened the last time you trusted someone? You almost died!
"Fuck it," I cursed, jumping onto my feet, and quickly got changed- forcing the voices in my head to shut off. I'm tired of this! I slipped out of the mansion and walked down the familiar streets. It was a Saturday evening, so it was very crowded. Friends were drinking, families were taking pictures, and couples romantically walked hand in hand. Echoes of happiness filled the streets. I finally stopped at the usual coffee shop and entered, went over to an empty table, and sat down without ordering anything.
"Would you like to order anything? We have a special promotion on our latte-"
"She isn't here for a latte. She's my guest," A deep voice spoke up, cutting the staff off as she tried to promote the drinks. The staff quickly bowed at Bogum and left us.
"How'd you know?" I asked, smiling weakly at him.
"I know you too well. Come on. Let's go," Bogum smiles while eyeing me. So I shrugged and got up. We went to our usual pork belly restaurant to destress our strained minds.
"Moh?" I asked in frustration when Bogum kept on staring at me in silence. He's acting weird... Why is he eyeing me?
"What happened to your neck? Did someone hurt you? Was it Jeon- Your boss?" Bogum asked, nodding at me curiously.
"No one hurt me. I hurt myself. I got into an accident," I shook my head in exhaustion. I don't want to think about it.
"An accident? Look at you- you get worse and worse every time I see you. Who are you really?" Bogum suddenly sighed, leaning forward doubtfully. What's with him?
"You're acting weird. You could've told me if you didn't want to drink," I huffed in annoyance.
"I guess it's better to keep our identities hidden, huh? Enjoy what we have," Bogum sighed after sipping from his cup. My phone started ringing, and it was Taehyung. I picked it up and answered him.
"I-I have to go! See you later!" I stuttered, pushing some cash into Bogum's palm. I dashed out of the restaurant and ran all the way back to the mansion. I got to live a week in peace... Now it's over! Aish! I rushed to Jungkook's room, but it was empty. Right... He must've gone to Minho's party at the Min's hotel.
"Where are the elders?" I questioned imo, who was fixing the flower vase in the living room.
"They all left for a business trip this afternoon. Is there a problem? I'll contact-"
"Ah- ani. It's fine. I was just wondering," I weakly smiled and turned the other way in frustration. I pulled out my phone and tapped furiously when Jungkook suddenly came striding into the mansion with a small paper bag in his hand.
"Why are you so pale? Did you see a ghost?" Jungkook chuckled, walking up to me with a smirk on his face.
"S-Seokjin...," I gulped at him in fear.
"W-wae? What happened?" Jungkook's smile immediately faded away as he carefully settled the bag down.
"He regained consciousness. And he's calling for an elite meeting tomorrow," I whispered in fear. An elite meeting? Over half of the lower rank is on his side. The Mins aren't our official ally yet, and Yoongi warned me not to trust his parents.
"He's really pissed, huh?" Jungkook sighed deeply as he combed his fingers through his hair.
"I need to see Hoseok and Yoongi. Can you take me there?" I questioned worriedly. I need to sort things out with them before the meeting.
"Do you really trust them? Sora, Hoseok's the last person I would trust," Jungkook grimaced at me in annoyance.
"Seokjin's casting the meeting to see who's really on our side. The Mins and Jung are just scapegoats to scare Seokjin. They aren't our official allies. If Seokjin finds out... he'll strike," I bit onto my lower lips anxiously.
"We're really screwed- thanks to someone who only acts on her impulse instead of using her head," Jungkook darted me a teasing glare.
"YAH-"
"Whatever. I have to see Minah anyways. Come on, troublemaker..." Jungkook hastily grabbed the bag and stomped into the parking lot, so I quickly followed him. How am I supposed to know Seokjin had the courage to cast an elite meeting?!
"Hold this," Jungkook muttered, pushing the bag into my arms as I sat in the passenger seat.
"A gift for Minah?" I asked curiously.
"Yeah. She likes lily-scented perfume," Jungkook started the engine, and we left the mansion together. Lily? Huh... that's weird.
"Who told you?" Jungkook asked, briefly glancing at me as he steered the wheel.
"Taehyung. He said he had to take care of something. Told me to meet him at the party with you," I sighed, leaning back against the seat in exhaustion.
"I'm going to Minah's place-"
"Are you crazy?! We have to go to the Min's hotel first!" I snapped my head towards him in disbelief. We're in danger right now, yet he wants to go to her first?!
"Yah, I'm the one driving you- YAH! YAH! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Jungkook snapped with his eyes wide open in shock when I rolled down the window and stretched my arm out with the bag hanging on the tip of my fingers.
"Take me to the Min's hotel, or I'll toss this out of the car," I threatened him.
"YAH- DON'T YOU DARE-"
"One... two... three-"
"FINE!" Jungkook snapped in defeat, so I smiled and placed the bag carefully on my lap as he quickly sealed the window shut.
"It took me half a year to get my hands on it," Jungkook muttered, sideways glaring at me in annoyance.
"Ah... the dedication. Baby Kookie lining up to get his girlfriend her favorite perfume," I mockingly smiled at Jungkook, so he rudely rolled his eyes at me.
"I'm not as sweet as you. Baby Sora~ Putting her life in danger to save Jiminie~" Jungkook smirked smugly while eyeing me. Aish... he's so annoying.
"I'm going to kill you!" I snapped in annoyance.
"How can you kill someone you cherish?" Jungkook smiled at me. I really want to smack him, but that's not a very good idea unless I want us to crash and die instantly, so I held it in. We got to the hotel and it was crowded with guests, so we went to the alpha's reserved parking lot instead.
"Give it to me," Jungkook muttered, snatching the bag from my hand, then tossed it in the driver's seat before making our way to the entrance... where a few guards stood watching us.
"We- What the fuck?!" Jungkook snapped, drawing me behind him when the guards suddenly pointed their guns at us.
"Jang Sora," The guards said shortly.
"Aish. What do you think you're doing!? The Mins and the Jang resolved the conflict! How dare you intend to hurt the supreme alpha?!" Jungkook snapped, glaring furiously at the guards, but they refused to back away.
"Jang Sora is here. I repeat Jang Sora is here. I request backup," The guards suddenly radioed his team.
"Why are you requesting backups, you idiots?! We're unarmed!" I snapped angrily at the guards, who quickly flashed the laser beam at us.
"I-I can't believe I'm dying because of you," Jungkook muttered as we stared at the gun lasers glowing all over his body.
"DON'T YOU DARE HURT HIM- PUT IT DOWN! DO YOU WANT TO FIGHT?!" I angrily stepped out from behind Jungkook, so all the laser beams turned to me instead.
"YAH. ARE YOU CRAZY?!" Jungkook snapped in horror as he stared at the bright red lasers aimed all over me.
"You won't die because of me. AND YOU! YOU'RE BEING DISRESPECTFUL!" I smiled at Jungkook before turning to glare at the guards.
"STAY STILL!" The guards warned when I smugly took a step towards them. Let's see if I'll actually die tonight.
"SORA! HAJIMA!" Jungkook roared at the top of my lungs when I wouldn't stop.
"I SAID HOLD YOUR POSITION *CLICK*- BANG!" The guards snapped and were about to fire, but Jungkook suddenly launched forward. Did a high kick- sending the gun flying away... the shot missed me and hit the ceiling instead. Jungkook roughly punched the guard and tightened his forearms around the guard's neck while using him as a shield to stop the other guards from firing. But we're still outnumbered...
"WHAT'S GOING ON?!" Yoongi suddenly burst out of the door in shock.
"Master-"
"They wouldn't let us in and even tried to murder us! Didn't you educate your guards?!" Jungkook gritted while glaring at Yoongi.
"Guide them inside," Yoongi nodded at his personal guards, who quickly rushed over to lead me in as Jungkook hastily let go of the other guard.
"Filthy! I told you not to trust him," Jungkook grimaced, bumping into Yoongi's shoulder as he headed inside.
"Sorry," Yoongi mumbled awkwardly.
"Tsk. You don't sound sorry at all. We could've died!" Jungkook snapped angrily at Yoongi as we entered the elevator.
"Well, Sora shot my father! Of course, the guards reacted the way they did!" Yoongi snapped in annoyance.
"See. You again. Why does it always have to be you?" Jungkook gritted, turning to glare at me in irritation.
"Shut up. Where's Hoseok?" I asked, turning to look at Yoongi.
"At the party. Why are you here?" Yoongi asked, turning to face me.
"I need to discuss something important. I'll explain when we meet Hoseok," I stiffly nodded at Yoongi while watching Jungkook observe his red fist.
"What? What are you looking at?" Jungkook huffed at me.
"Did you sprain it?" I asked as he rubbed his knuckles. He punched the guard pretty hard.
"Yeah, thanks to a stupid who wouldn't stop blabbing nonsense and almost got us blasted into pieces," Jungkook grimaced, turning away from me. I was really annoyed, so I pinched him with all my might.
"AH-" I pushed past Jungkook even before he could scream. Blah blah blah... asshole.
"Oh. Sora?! Jungkook? I thought you said-"
"Where's Hoseok?" I asked, cutting Minho off when he greeted us.
"At his suite down the hallway. He'll be back soon," Minho nodded toward the suite at the far end of the corridor.
"Oh, look who's here," Mira smiled, walking out of the ballroom in a thin-strapped silver dress.
"We don't have much time. Let's go to Hoseok's room. It's safe there," I exhaled, rushing down the opposite direction in a hurry.
"What's going on?" Minho asked, turning to look at Yoongi in confusion, who only shrugged at him in response. We got to the suite. It was locked, so I rang his intercom, but no one answered. Why isn't he answering? Did he get the weird panic attack again??? Shit...
"Maybe he's not inside-"
"I saw him enter a while ago," Minho doubtfully glanced at me.
"I have the master card," Yoongi sighed, pulling out a black card, and scanned it. Click. The door opened, and we poured inside. The living room was empty, but there were two wine glasses on the table. Is he with someone? No... it seems empty.
"The smell..." Jungkook muttered, quietly stiffing the room in confusion.
"Where did he go?" Minho whispered, checking the kitchen and the balcony. Thud... Thud. I slowly turned to look at the bedroom door in confusion.
"I think I know where he's at," I quickly walked up to the door, placed my hand on the handle, and pushed it open.
"Oh- Uh- SORA- I THINK YOU SHOULDN'T-" Mira called out after lifting up the wine glass on the table... and on the hem of the glass was a lipstick stain. My mouth dropped in disbelief, but it was too late... the door flung open.
"AH!" A feminine voice yelped- just as I turned the other way... feeling very flustered. I was facing away from the room, so I was staring at Jungkook who was staring into the bedroom with his eyes wide open. Yoongi's jaw dropped open. Minho took a double look while Mira covered her mouth in disbelief. Why are they so shocked?
"Lily... the smell is Lily," Jungkook whispered, unblinkingly staring past me and at the person in the room. I slowly spun around to find... Hoseok and-... What on earth? My mouth dropped open as my eyes grew wide open in disbelief... I couldn't believe what I was seeing... a wave of immense shock swept past me as I stood staring at... Minah... covering her bare skin with a blanket... half-naked... they sat on the bed staring back at us in shock...
M-Minah...? T-the familiar smell on Hoseok... it was... Lily... in his car... his suit... his room... It was lily. No wonder it smelt so familiar. Slowly... I averted my eyes to Hoseok and Minah as memories came rushing into my head. At the island... she came from the pool... where Hoseok was... the day I sneaked into the Min's Hotel and saw Hoseok in the elevator with a girl... It was Minah. And when I escaped the Min's hotel... his car was lily scented.
Minah...
