Wound

"Oh. Him..." I whispered while staring at the picture of the young boy with a bowl-cut hair. I see him around at the university. He looks so haunting in the funeral picture with that straight face and dark black eyes.

"Something is off," Jungkook whispered, tilting his head at the picture. He's trying to figure out something.

"We should pay our respects and say our farewell," Jimin said quietly.

"I don't even know him well," Taehyung whispers, leading the way inside the room.

"I can't imagine how she's feeling," I whispered as I watched Mrs. Song sob in the corner of the room. Many of the households went to the funeral to pay their respect after the meeting. We didn't stay long because Mr. Jeon wanted to return to the mansion as soon as possible.

"Sora? Sora!" Jimin frantically knocked on my door when I was changing into my pajamas.

"Coming... What?" I questioned, opening the door to find Jimin leaning against the door in his pajamas too. He's staying over?

"Come to Taehyung's room if you aren't sleeping yet," He pointed towards Taehyung's room with his thumb.

"You aren't going home?" I asked him.

"No, I'm a bit frightened- I'm not sleeping alone after what happened to Jae-il," Jimin chuckled nervously.

"Kaja," I smiled, closing the door behind me, then made my way towards Taehyung's room.

"Oh, Sora," Taehyung looked up at me. He was sitting on the couch with Jungkook and there was a bunch of papers on the coffee table.

"Working on an assignment?" I asked, sitting down on a separate sofa.

"No, investigating," Taehyung shook his head while flipping through the files in his hands.

"Have some," Jimin pushed a bag of chips into my hand.

"No, thank you. Investigating what?" I asked curiously and picked up the files.

"The murder," Jimin answered, offering me the chips again but I shook my head.

"Say ah..." Jimin playfully took out a chip.

"No," I chuckled, shaking my head at him.

"Say ahhhhh!" Jimin stubbornly insisted, pushing the chips towards me over and over again, so I gave up and let him feed me.

"Good," Jimin grinned at me cheekily. Chuckling, I looked up to find Jungkook and Taehyung staring at us with their mouth hanging open. Did they figure out something?

"What?" I asked curiously.

"Nothing," Jungkook cleared his throat and blinked at the documents.

"Nothing," Taehyung coughs awkwardly before turning back to the papers. Okay...? What's up with them?

"I really think he didn't die in the gym," Jungkook suggested while scratching his head in confusion.

"What's your theory?" Taehyung questioned while flipping through the files. They're so serious about this- to the point, they're conducting their own mini-investigation huh?

"Well, no one saw him entering the gym at all. How did he end up there?" Jungkook read through the witness comments.

"True. The security footage shows no one entering or leaving the gym. How did he get there?" Jimin whispers as he skims through a stack of security footage pictures.

"Maybe someone deleted the footage," Taehyung sighed, putting the files down in defeat. That makes sense.

"This Jae-il... guy... Why would anyone murder him?" I asked, quietly looking through the pictures from his autopsy. He was strangled to death with an unidentified weapon... it was pretty clear because of the bloody purple bruise around his neck.

"He's just like Minho but dumber than Minho though. Very reckless," Jungkook sighed. I quietly look through the horrifying pictures. There were bruises around his arms and legs too which suggests he was probably fighting for his life.

"This is weird. Who could it be and what's the motive behind it?" Jimin whispered. He sat on his couch, nervously combing his fingers through his hair.

"It hadn't happened for years, until- no offense Sora but since you and Yoongi showed up," Taehyung paused to look at me unsurely.

"None taken," I shook my head before placing the files down. I hope Yoongi is safe? I'm starting to worry about him.

"Sora, shum more?" Jimin asks, cutely offering me his snack with his mouth full of chips. I shook my head.

"Come on!!!" Jimin whined, playfully poking my waist, making me laugh at the ticklish sensation.

"No! Hajima!" I laughed, pushing him away when he tried to tickle me again.

"I won't stop until you have some!" Jimin chuckled, attempting to tickle me again, but I pushed his hands away.

"No! Go away," I giggled, but he managed to sneak his hand around my body and tickled me.

"YAAAH!" I screamed and giggled in tears.

"Hajima!" Taehyung suddenly snapped. Jimin stopped instantly.

"Sorry..." Jimin swallowed as he exchanged glances with me. Taehyung seems to be in a bad mood. Maybe he's frightened?

"What do you think the other alphas are doing right now?" Jimin asks to break the silence.

"Well, Seokjin, Namjoon, and Hoseok are probably together like we are. In a situation like this, I don't think any alpha would want to be alone," Taehyung shrugged and that's when I noticed that Jungkook wasn't talking. He was staring blankly at the floor. He had this weird expression on but no one seemed to notice.

"Ahh~ I'm frightened," Jimin groaned, leaning against the couch, causing Jungkook to snap out of his thoughts. Something is wrong with Jungkook.

"We need to become Yoongi's allies, don't you think?" Taehyung sat up stiffly.

"True. That way we can secure our position better- just in case he's the supreme alpha," Jimin nods repeatedly. I still can't believe he's an alpha. How can his parents hide this from him? I hope he's not hurt...?

"You think he's the supreme alpha?" Jungkook asks while staring at Jimin with a doubtful expression.

"He was asked to sit on the 2nd rank! It's so obvious. He's the anonymous alpha," Jimin rolled his eyes at Jungkook.

"Whatever," Jungkook huffed and got onto his feet.

"Where are you going?" Taehyung asked as Jungkook made his way out of the door.

"None of your business," Jungkook said coldly. What's wrong with him? He's acting like a girl on their period days.

"Fucking jerk..." Taehyung glared at Jungkook after he left the room.

"He was never in a good mood since the breakup," I said quietly.

"Talking about the breakup- I swear I saw Minah on a date with someone," Jimin leaned forward excitedly.

"Too soon, that's not possible. She's obsessed with Jungkook," Taehyung shook his head.

"I'm sure of it though- Maybe she's trying to irritate him- girls are complicated," Jimin glared at Taehyung, who was too busy scanning the files.

"Excuse me. I'll be back," I got onto my feet.

"Where are you going?" Taehyung asks... eyeing me suspiciously.

"Um... to grab some food," I said awkwardly. You're lying Sora...

"But we got a bunch of food here," Jimin nodded towards the snacks on the couch.

"Right," I smile awkwardly. What should I say?? Aish! They kept on staring at me in confusion.

"I'll be right back!" I chuckled awkwardly before walking out of the room.

"Jungkook?" I called, knocking on his door repeatedly. Weirdly, I'm worried about that stupid.

"He's not here?" I whispered, poking my head into the empty room. He must have gone somewhere then? I quickly made my way down the hallway, into the empty living room, and finally into the kitchen.

"Why are you here?" Jungkook questioned, looking up in confusion when I strolled inside. He was leaning against the counter near the fridge.

"To get some water..." I avoided his eye contact and awkwardly approached the fridge.

"What?" I glanced at him nervously when he kept on staring at me with a doubtful gaze.

"I realized you never used any of the maids in our mansion," Jungkook tilts his head to the side.

"True. It's because I feel bad to boss them around," I took out the water. Why did I come after him?? I just felt like it...

"I didn't ask you," Jungkook rudely rolled his eyes.

"You're so mean," I glared at him before pouring the water into the cup. This jerk. Why did I come after him?!

"Do you think that's why she left me?" Jungkook asks quietly. I stopped pouring the water mid-way when I heard his softened tone.

"I don't think so. She's ruder than you," I shrugged and proceeded to fill the cup.

"Hmm," Jungkook laughs dryly while staring at the floor with both his hands pressed against the counter.

"She's always annoying when she's around me... but without her... I feel so empty," Jungkook shook his head. I turned to look at him while I drank the water. The tough-looking Jeon Jungkook is a sucker for love. He looks like he's gonna cry. I slowly set my cup down and turned to face him.

"Well- AH!" I gasped, misplacing the cup on the counter.

"ARGHHH! OUCH! YAHH!" Jungkook howled in pain when the cup landed on his bare feet. The cup bounces off his feet and shatters onto the floor as he stumbles on one foot in pain.

"I'm sorry! Are you okay?" I reached out for him as he wrapped his hands around his left foot and hopped around on one leg.

"Apa! Apa apa apaaaa~" Jungkook groaned, screwing his eyes shut while he held onto his feet. You're so clumsy Sora!

"I'm sorry!" I stared at him worriedly.

"So annoying!" Jungkook limped towards the chair in pain.

"I'm sorry," I muttered, staring at him apologetically as he sat down on the chair.

"This girl... jinja," He darted me a sharp glare while he massaged his feet.

"Pffff~" I suddenly felt the urge to laugh.

"Yah? What's so funny?" Jungkook glared at me disapprovingly.

"You're so whiney, like a baby," I chuckled softly.

"I am not!" Jungkook gritted at me with an offended expression.

"You are," I teased him.

"I'm not!" He quickly jumps onto his feet and walks forward.

"See! I'm strong- OWww apa apa..." Jungkook didn't get far. He groaned in discomfort, then bent down to rub his feet in pain again.

"Whatever... I'll clean this up," I chuckled, turning towards the shattered glasses on the floor.

"Leave it there. You might get hurt," Jungkook shook his head disapprovingly.

"Since when did you care about me?" I eyed him funnily.

"I don't!" Jungkook snaps at me.

"Okay, sure. I'm not a baby don't worry," I crouched on the floor to pick up the shattered glasses.

"Stop calling me that," Jungkook rolled his eyes.

"Ah!" I painfully gasped when I felt the sharp glass piercing into my ring finger.

"Yah! I told you!" Jungkook snaps at me when blood starts to trickle down my finger.

"Fuck..." I cursed and got onto my feet as the sharp pain surged across my finger.

"Here-" Jungkook grabbed my hand and pressed my bloody finger against his lips.

"Yah! What are you doing?" I gasped while staring at him in shock.

"Stopping the blood," Jungkook replied, pulling my finger away from his lips, so I stared at him with my eyes wide open.

"You're crazy..." I scoffed, rushing towards the sink to rinse my finger.

"I'm trying to help!" Jungkook snapped and fired me a sharp glare.

"You're not helping! The human mouth has a lot of bacteria! You might get my wound infected dummy!" I argued, frantically washing my wound over and over again. Aish. HE'S CRAZY!

"What happened?" Taehyung suddenly appeared in the kitchen. He averted his eyes to mess on the floor and back at us.

"Umm..." I awkwardly glanced at Jungkook.

"Why is there blood on the floor? Are you hurt?" Taehyung turns to look at me with his concerned eyes.
