Outside the imperial capital, a colossal portal stood between heaven and earth, resembling the Gate of Myriad Worlds, or perhaps the cornerstone of the world and the source of magic, ancient and mysterious.

The massive stone structure, seemingly formed naturally, was covered in marks from rain, snow, and ice, giving it an aura of timelessness that could leave anyone who gazed upon it in a daze.
