There's not much progression at the time of this review, but it's great fun.
Seriously, it's hilarious. The main character is an idiot savant, taken to the extremes of both words. Each of his inventions is basically like a high-grade curio, having incredible effects, but often come with odd or dangerous side effects, like a ring that has a 50/50 chance of making a stable hole in something or exploing. He is also hilariously overpowered, but doesn't actually fight that much or show his strength, relying instead on inventions that even if they fail or malfunction, they still do their job somehow.
A large part of what makes this funny is also interactions and Gu Tang's lines, though multiple characters are rather... off. Asta is a tsundere, Herta is a pervert, and Dan Heng is actually from a full-on parody world. Alternatively, he went insane, what else would explain his thoughts as they are now?
For example, they followed (loosely) the plot, got to Belobog, Dan Heng noticed multiple females wear black stockings -> surely they must've developed warming techonology in such form.
