CHAPTER 17

Taehyung and Jimin sleep hugging each other on the sofa, his foreheads leaning against each other. Namjoon and Seokjin observe them, the eldest sniffing softly. He rests his head on Namjoon's shoulder, while the leader leans on him.

They didn't mutter a single word since they arrived at the apartment. Hoseok refused to be with them and locked himself inside his room. He hasn't come out since then.

Jungkook silently approaches the two males, two warm cups in hand.

"I ordered some tea. I thought you may want some."

Seokjin offers him a small smile and reaches out his hand. "Thank you, Jungkook."

Namjoon grabs the other cup and pats the sofa next to him.

"What can I do for you?" He spares a glance to the two sleeping boys.

Jimin lets out a light wine, his eyebrows frowning. He must be having a nightmare.

"This is enough," Namjoon takes a sip. "Thank you. . . Thank you for helping us with Hobi before. Actually, we. . ." He blinks, staring at the ceiling to avoid Jungkook's eyes.

The youngest notices the discomfort. "Don't worry, I understand."

"Thank you." Namjoon voice cracks.

Seokjin gulps. "Joonie, do you think he's still alive?"

Namjoon sighs, lowering his head. " I- I don't know, Jinnie. It's been many hours. He could have hit his head, or his back, or his legs. Or maybe he's alive and conscious trapped in there."Namjoon clenches his jaw. "I should have listened to him."

"Namjoon, it's not your fault. We didn't know it would collapse so quickly. None or all of us could be trapped there right now."

Tears start running Seokjin's face. "What if he heard Hobi? What if he's waiting for us to come save him? What if he died waiting? What if—"

Namjoon caresses his hair and places a light kiss. "Shh, baby. We'll come back and look out for him. I promise." Namjoon blinks his tears away, guilt eating him inside.

"It's almost midnight. Do you think the police left? The sooner we get there, the better." Jungkook proposes.

"Perhaps, but it's dangerous. We don't have enough lanterns and the road it's not illuminated enough. We should come back at sunrise."

"What if we use Blacky's front lights? Namjoon, Yoongi can't wait any longer. Tomorrow can be too late." Seokjin proposes, the pain turning in adrenaline flowing through his body. "We can do it if we stick together."

"Jin has a point. I'm in."

Namjoon nods, taking a sip of the warm drink. "Should we wake them up?"

"Let me go check on Hobi. We should tell him first."

Seokjin places the cup in the small table and runs to Hoseok's room. He knocks on the door a few times, but he doesn't answer.

"Hobi. . . It's me, Seokie. Open the door, please."

Nothing.

"We need you to rescue Yoongi. You know before was too dangerous. . . We couldn't stay. . . We want to save him as much as you do. You understand it, right?"

The adrenaline turns into panic, when there's still no answer. He couldn't have fallen asleep. "Hobi?"

He unconsciously turns the knob and the door opens. Seokjin raises his eyebrows, pushing the door completely open. The last time he checked he couldn't open the door.

"Hobi?"

Seokjin finds himself alone in the room.

Hoseok pulls Blacky over in front of the remain house. He couldn't stay in his room and do nothing. He had to come back and bring Yoongi home. Yoongi has to be alive.

He turns on the headlamp and the lantern in his hand. He studies the place, ignoring the police signal to not come closer. He doesn't spot any kind of entrance in the front and walks towards the right. The light shows him a small hole and Hoseok starts removing stones.

When the hole becomes big enough, he sticks his head in. He moves the source of light around and notices a part of the ceiling is still intact, but could fall at any time. Hoseok notices the lack of oxygen and yells Yoongi's name, but nobody answers.

He doesn't think twice and gets inside. He can't go anywhere from here, as the other sides are cut by different objects and pieces of ceiling. He turns to the right, finding more holes, and he gets closer. He recognises the hallway and the room where they kept the three males. Hoseok shuts his eyes, the room entrance got completely blocked.

Yoongi tell me you didn't stay inside.

He inspects the ground and the floor. His blood runs cold when he spots the bottom half of Yoongi's body, different pieces of wood covering the upper half. He forces himself to move slowly towards him, his body shaking. He kneels down and spots a wound in one of Yoongi's knees. The blood dried.

He removes the first pieces of wood the best he can with his damp hands, too afraid Yoongi would be staring at him with open, empty eyes. He closes his eyes again at the thought and shakes his head.

Hoseok removes the last piece.

He lets go the air he was holding. At least his eyes are closed. He has a few scratches on his face. "Yoongs, babe. Can you hear me?" His tears wet Yoongi's face.

He holds his hand. Cold, but not enough for him to be dead. He places his palm on his cheek, it still releases warmth. He checks his pulse.

I fucking knew it. I fucking knew it.

"Babe, you'll be okay." Carefully, he places his head on his thighs and hugs him. "I got you babe, you're going to be okay."

He let more tears come out, sobbing in the black haired boy. He doesn't want to let go of him, but he doesn't have enough time. He holds the lantern with his teeth and picks him up, carefully.

He almost bends his ankle going up, but he comes out with Yoongi in his arms. Hoseok lays Yoongi on the back seats and drives slowly to the hotel. He checks from time to time his body stays still.

He ignores some of the workers' looks and makes his way inside the lift. The boys would probably kill him for going out there alone, but he couldn't abandon Yoongi. He couldn't let him alone.

He knocks on the door and Seokjin opens it at the moment. They noticed my absence.

Seokjin gasps and covers his mouth. "Hobi, are you okay? What—Holy shit, come in, come in."

He steps out of the way and Hoseok runs inside, laying Yoongi on the sofa. Taehyung and Jimin fast asleep on the other side, but Taehyung moves slightly at the loud noises.

"He's still alive." Hoseok pants. "I think he only has minor injuries."

"Jungkook, please get the first aid kit." Namjoon orders, examinating Yoongi's body. "Hobi, what the hell were you thinking?! You should have told us! How could you go in there all by yourself?! What if something happened to you, too?!"

"Saving him, isn't it obvious?! I couldn't stay here and do nothing. If it wasn't for me, he would have died in there!"

"Fuck you!" Namjoon pulls Hoseok in a tight hug.

"Don't do it never again, do you understand? Never." Namjoon whispers, holding him even tighter.

"I'm sorry. I love you."

Namjoon kisses his forehead for long seconds and let's go off him. He examines his body, touching his arms and his ribs.

"Did you get hurt?"

"No, I'm good."

A sleepy wine catches their attention. "What's happening?"

Jimin rubs his eyes, pouting. Seokjin sits behind him, while Jungkook comes back with the kit. Namjoon and Hoseok start treating Yoongi, while he rubs his fingers through Jimin's hair. The blond haired boy tries to get closer to his boyfriend, to make sure he's real, to make sure he's actually with them.

"What- what happened? Is he okay?"

"Hobi brought him back, baby. Let the boys heal his wounds first, you can hold his hand later. He should be stable. We'll decide what to do when he wakes up, mm-hmm?" Seokjin explains, softly.

Jimin nods, resting his head on his chest.

Hoseok cleans Yoongi's hair with a towel, getting rid of all the dust. Jungkook brings him a wet towel, and carefully does the same with his face. Namjoon treats the wound on his knee and his his elbow.

"Jungkook, can you order ice?"

Jungkook nods and picks up the hotel's phone.

"Help me take off his shirt. He could be injured."

"Wait," Hoseok grabs the scissors from the kid. "Here, this works faster."

Hoseok pushes the clothing away from Yoongi's skin, and Namjoon cuts it messily. They both let out a sigh of relief, his chest and stomach free from scratches or bruises.

"They didn't have ice, but they brought a pack of peas."

"Good enough, thanks."

Namjoon places it carefully on Yoongi's head. "I hope he wakes up soon."

Namjoon sits next to Jungkook on the small sofa. Hoseok stays close to Yoongi, holding the cold pack, while Jimin gently grabs his hand. Hoseok whispers sweet nothings to Yoongi, and reaches his hand out to hold Jimin's free one. Seokjin leans on the sofa, Taehyung's sleeping figure on his lap. He lets himself close his eyes, feeling how slowly his body relaxes.
