Ch - 27 Consummating?

When Barry returned after talking with Joe, the guilty and self-blaming look he previously had was gone. Instead, he now had a determined look. It was clear that after his talk with Joe, he had grown visibly. His character was being further refined and sculpted as he matured.

Barry's maturity was easily noticeable, and Swayam, who had been sticking with Caitlin like a shadow and a guardian angel, also noticed it.

Barry approached them and apologized to Caitlin for bringing up a sad topic previously. Caitlin, who had also matured and determined that Swayam would be her present and future, wholeheartedly forgive Barry and even thanked him for bringing up topic of Ronnie. She admitted that without Barry's prompt, she wasn't sure when she would have gathered enough courage to face her past, come to terms with Ronnie's death, and move on. But before fully committing to Swayam, she needed to face her fears and visit the place where Ronnie perished--the accelerator chamber.

Although Swayam knew that Caitlin wanted to face her fears alone, he refused to leave her side and continued to accompany her.

Despite Caitlin's tough front, it was still hard for her to visit the place. As they descended, her whole body was tense and trembling. It took all her willpower not to burst out and cry. If Swayam hadn't been there, firmly holding her hand as a sign of support, she would have broke down. In the end, she couldn't hold back any longer and after started sobbing in Swayam's firm and secure chest. Swayam stroked her back, telling her to let it all out.

They remained like that for quite some time, and only after Caitlin had cried her heart out did she manage to control herself and stabilize her emotions. Swayam knew that now Caitlin had let out her pain and stabilized her emotions, even if Ronnie returned, she wouldn't have any romantic feelings for him. To prove him right, Caitlin requested that Swayam take her to his house, the farmhouse.

Swayam immediately realized what she wanted to do and tried to stop her, continuously telling her not to make any rash decisions. But she convinced him that she wasn't making a rash decision, and he reluctantly agreed to take her home.

Although loving and caring, Swayam was also a greedy and lustful person. Seeing Caitlin not back down, he gave in and took her to the farmhouse where they consummated their relationship. What Swayam didn't realize was that after he consummated with Caitlin, her existence became unique, sending a ripple through time and space. This caused the already altering timeline to destabilize, ultimately impacting future events and causing Eobard Thawne, who was disguising himself as Harrison Wells, to glitch and fade in and out of existence. Fortunately, this didn't last long and happened when he was alone.

After Eonard Thawne's existence stabilized, he rushed to the time chamber and asked Gideon to display the news article from the year 2024 during the crisis event. Only upon seeing that the article remained mostly the same, with just a few miner alternations, did he heave a sigh of relief. However, he still contemplated what might have altered the timeline once again. He immediately thought of Swayam, the anomaly, but couldn't personally do anything about him. He speculated that Swayam's singularity made him immune to external factors and manipulations.

At Swayam's house, Swayam and Caitlin were resting after making love for two continuous hours. They took it slow, mostly because Caitlin's physique was extremely fragile compared to his. If he hadn't remained passive and let Caitlin take the lead, he could have ended up harming her.

While they were taking a break, Swayam's phone rang. It was a call from Cisco, who informed him that they found something and needed his and Caitlin's presence.

Swayam, aware of Caitlin's condition after their lovemaking, was about to hang up the call, but Caitlin, who overheard the conversation, stopped him. She took the phone from him and informed Cisco that they would be there soon, then hung up.

With the help of Swayam's superhuman speed and abilities, they soon arrived at S.T.A.R. Labs.

As Swayam entered the lab, supporting Caitlin as she walked, Cisco gave him a knowing look and a thumbs up. Swayam, feeling amazing and proud of himself, straighten up and inflated his chest. But just as he did that, Caitlin pinched his waist. Although he didn't feel any pain, he showed a pained and awkward look to avoid making her angry.

Barry, who witnessed their flirting, coughed twice, making Swayam and Caitlin stop.

Seeing Caitlin throwing invisible daggers at Barry, Cisco redirected their focus on the task at hand by providing information about the gas, "The gas we extracted from Barry's lungs is hydrogen cyanide. But that's not the interesting part. The interesting thing is a sedative mixed in with the gas."

Barry, being intelligent, immediately realized what it meant. "Of course. The night of the explosion," He muttered. Then he instructed, "Find out if anyone was executed."

Cisco, following the instruction, went to the computer and started searching.

Harrison Wells, not understanding where Barry was going with this, asked, "Why?"

Barry explained, "The sedative is given to criminals on death row before they breath in hydeogen cyanide."

"Ah, that's right." Harrison Wells exclaimed, understanding now.

Cisco, looking through the database, informed them of his findings and projected the information on the wall monitor, "There indeed was someone who was executed. His name was Kyle Nimbus."

"That's him," Barry immediately recognized.

Cisco continued, "He was a hitman for the Darbinyan Crime Family, but something happened, and they turned on him and testified against him. Judge Theresa Howard sentenced him to death."

Harrison Wells speculated, "He must have been affected by the explosion while he was being executed.

Looking at the database, Cisco added, "Records say that the execution was completed, which would justify the lack of a DNA match since the DNA database only has the records of the living."

Barry suddenly remembered something from their encounter. "He said there was one more person on his list. Cisco, check his arrest record. Who caught him? That could be his next target."

After checking the arrest record, Cisco found that the person who arrested him none other than Joe.

Knowing who the next target was, Barry became anxious and worried about Joe. He tried to reach him but couldn't, so he called Eddie, who told him Joe's whereabouts.

After hanging up, Caitlin, now able to somewhat walk on her own, approached Barry and handed him syringe. "Barry, while you all were talking, I reverse-engineered an antidote to the toxin. I hope you won't need it."

Taking the syringe from Caitlin and donning his super suit, Barry rushed out of the S.T.A.R. Labs.
