Chapter fourteen

"C'mon mom, a guest is as good as the god, her name is Ruby flyn,my new friend, she is going to stay with us for a few months or till whenever she wants" kaida said

" Kaida are you sick, how can you bring anyone to our house" Thomas said. Turning her attention to me kaida said. " Am sorry rubs, I would send some drinks and snacks for you, let me have a word with my family first".

I gave her a nod and she dragged Helen and Thomas out of earshot. I knew what she would tell them, how rich and resourceful I can be for them. A maid came in and served me a tray of refreshments. You can see how much kaida is trying to impress me, they were brandy, smoothie, white and red wine, soft drinks, fruits of all kind, fries, tackies, samosas, chicken, burger and so on and so forth.

Within a matter of minutes the 3 devil's came back with angelic smiles. " My dear, please feel at home. I didn't know you are a tourist and encountered so much problems upon arrival, don't worry I would treat you just like my daughter, to me you and kaida are the same, and you are also friends which make it even better" she said.

That's her reality, a snake, she wants to treat me like a daughter after killing my parents, I don't know if she kept my dad alive or not, or if he is well, after snatching away my identity and property, after pushing me to the jaws of death, she wants to be my mother, humph.

" And since you re friends with my girlfriend, consider me your friend as well okay. And you can choose any room in this house and it would be yours" Thomas said.

A liar, I considered him the love of my life and my best friend, but he, he sent me to a strangers room, humiliated me on our wedding day and was even together with my sister, no not sister, kaida. I would teach them all a sweet lesson, I promise.

" Thank you all for showing me so much love, am grateful" I told them.

"Come let me show you around", kaida said. She took me around the house and if not for the building, nothing looked like the home I and my parents build, I noticed dad's room had been locked with a very big lock and when I asked kaida told me, it's something personal.

I pretended as if I didn't know kaida now lived in my room, it was the best room of the villa after all, mom and dad made the effort to make it the best for me, it had the best scenery from the window, biggest bedroom, a walk in closet, a toilet, a small dining side, a library by the side and a reading spot, it was all in all the best, so kaida had to take it.

" Wow such a beautiful room, I love it, whose room is this" I asked kaida. " My dear, if you want the room then consider it all yours, do you want to go shopping for clothes, I think you need a whole new closet, and I would have this room cleaned up and renovated to your wish" she said.

Wow, absolutely wow, kaida would never change and it's my bad luck by not understanding her true intentions long ago till the damage was done, now it's time to rectify my mistakes.

" Sure dear, let's go, I heard there is a new Chanel mall down street, should we go there" I asked her. " Sure enough dear, bills on me please" she begged.

I agreed and we went shopping, it would have been fun had I not known her real intentions. Anyways a girls biggest therapy is shopping. We shopped so many clothes, shoes, bags, accessories and what not, it was great and relaxing.

When we came back the whole room had been cleaned and all belongings of kaida and Thomas had been shifted, some of the furnitures were changed like the bed.

I loved it, I love that I won't have to sleep in the same bed that those two slept on, but right now, am missing my darling daughter, oh how must she be feeling right now, I wanted to call her but I can't, atleast not in front of this snake called kaida.
