Ch 251: A cause for concern

Someone was touching Rika's forehead, and it felt nice. The cold had felt nice, and Rika cuddled harder against that hand.

"Are you awake? How do you feel now? Does it still hurt? Can you open your eyes and look at me once?"

The voice asked, and Rika almost hit that hand away in irritation before she decided to humour the speaker and open her eyes.

It felt… tricky to open her eyes, and Rika wanted to give up. But she decided to try one last time, and her eyes opened.

Emily's face was the first thing Rika saw before memories of what happened flooded her mind.

Rika buried her face in her hands to hide the blush creeping up her face. After what she had just done, she could not look at the alpha.

"Are you finally awake, Rika? How do you feel? What about your body? Does anything hurt? I'm sorry for going a little harder on you than necessary. I was not able to control myself there during the end."
