Ch 224: An offer to not refuse

The smile that was starting to bloom on Suzie's face blew away in an instant. Instead, an awkward smile forced itself on Suzie's face when she looked at the man before her.

"What are you talking about? I did not lie about anything. In fact! I have said nothing but truth to you this whole time, Mark. How could you say all this to me?"

Suzie asked in a somewhat terrified voice.

Mark had never questioned her words before, and the fact that he was doing so now made Suzie realise this was getting out of hand for her. 

Her brother, the one she treasured above anything else, was slipping out of her hands by the second.

'What happened! Is it one of Rika's tricks? I need to resolve this situation if that is the case.'

"Mark, whatever Rika told you is not-"
