The silence in the medical room was deafening. Rika could hear her heartbeat when she concentrated.

She looked in disbelief as the Alpha in front of her reached for her hand and placed a kiss on the back of it.

It made Rika feel tingles in her spine, but she simultaneously doubted his intentions.

Damian, however, could not control his feelings about this matter, and before anyone could stop him, he held the Tweten family head by his throat.

Loud alpha growls echoed around the room, and their anger made Rika's hair stand up in shock.

Emily was also a second too late to stop Damian from holding the older alpha hostage and threatening him.

"Leave! Refrain from approaching Rika again. This is the last warning I will give you."

Hearing Damian speak and threaten someone was so rare that even Emily looked shocked.
