Ch 117: Can I mark you?

The phone was going off at an alarming rate. Rika needed to wake up and pick it up, and she knew it was necessary. 

But her body felt lethargic when she reached out for the phone. 

She tried her best but could not grab the phone in time, and her call went to voice mail.

It all fell quiet again, and Rika felt sleep's grasp trying to drown her again. She would have given in to it if the phone had not started ringing again.

This time, Rika managed to reach for it and pick it up. 

Her sleep-aided brain did not grasp what was happening. But Emily's voice was like a wake-up call from the other side of the phone.

"Be ready to head out in ten minutes. We are about to reach your location."

Emily sounded calm, but her voice had an undertone of tension. This woke Rika right up, and she sat up straight on her bed.

The first thing Rika did after waking up was to check how long she had been asleep.
