Chapter 57: The New Mr. Bond

William, holding Alessandra Ambrosio's hand, strolled out of the hotel. They had barely taken a few steps when he noticed, from his peripheral vision, a middle-aged white man with a camera taking continuous photos of them from a distance. William immediately deduced that this man was probably Alessandra's agent.

Earlier, when William arrived at the hotel, he had noticed someone with a camera around their neck, lurking and observing him. At the time, William had dismissed it as a paparazzo and paid little attention. However, after seeing Alessandra all dressed up, William started to have suspicions. He knew from past experience that models and their agents are always scheming, as it's even harder for models to rise in their careers than actors. They seize every opportunity that comes their way.

William had been testing Alessandra, and his test had just borne fruit. Alessandra deliberately led him towards the man with the camera, practically hanging on to William as they walked.

Not that it mattered to William; it was a mutual attraction. If they clicked, great; if not, they could part ways. In his previous life, Leonardo DiCaprio was his idol, always dating supermodels and no one else.

Moreover, William genuinely liked Alessandra Ambrosio. Finally having the chance to fulfill a dream from his previous life made his heart race with excitement.

They wandered along the beach, barefoot on the soft sand. The sunset, the gentle breeze, the ocean waves, and the stunningly beautiful Alessandra clinging to his arm made William feel like he was living the perfect life. He didn't even realize they had walked up to the villa where Alex Demetrios was staying by the beach.

William noticed Yin Yang nearby, pretending to be a tourist. With his average height and unassuming presence, Yin Yang blended in perfectly as he sat on a lounge chair with an Asian woman, pretending to be a couple.

Out of the corner of his eye, William saw Alex Demetrios on the second-floor balcony of the villa, staring despondently at the ocean. Demetrios probably knew by now that Carlos was dead. Le Chiffre had tasked Carlos with something crucial, but Carlos had been captured by an entire tactical team. With their plans exposed, Demetrios was left with no choice but to find another desperate man to complete the job, or Le Chiffre would surely kill him for failing.

Ignoring Yin Yang and Demetrios, William and Alessandra continued their stroll past the villa. After walking another twenty or thirty meters, William heard the sound of hooves approaching from behind.

Turning around, he saw a woman with an impressive figure riding a horse towards the villa. She stopped and looked at William and Alessandra, who were walking by. Shortly after, a muscular man emerged from the sea, wiping water off his face. He gazed at the woman on the horse as if he had just seen the most stunning beauty in the world—a case of love at first sight with someone else's wife.

What the heck? Isn't that Bond?

William's task had already been assigned to him. So why was 007 here in the Bahamas? Wasn't the current Bond supposed to be Pierce Brosnan?

William was uncertain whether Pierce had died or been kicked out of MI6 for disobeying M. But he knew that Daniel Craig had recognized him. Craig took a few looks at William before diving back into the sea.

Craig, newly appointed as 007, must have been very resourceful to track down the Bahamas. And if Bond knew William was here, M would soon know as well.

William, feeling the urgency, tugged Alessandra's enthusiastic hand and suggested, "Alessandra, it's getting dark. How about we go have a big dinner?"

With a smile, William kissed her lightly, and Alessandra, bolder than him, wrapped her arm around his neck and kissed him deeply.

In the midst of their passionate kiss, William noticed Barney making hand signals from a nearby tree, asking when they should move to capture Alex Demetrios.

William discreetly shook his head, indicating to wait. Barney nodded and retreated into the trees.

William led Alessandra to the hotel restaurant for a delightful Bahamian dinner. Afterward, they headed to the hotel casino, sitting at the bar and sharing playful kisses. William entertained Alessandra with jokes from his past life, making her laugh heartily. Later, he even told a few risqué jokes, causing her to playfully pinch his arm and waist.

As they got more comfortable, William asked, "My dear, when are you heading back to the USA?"

Alessandra kissed William on the cheek and said, "I'm supposed to leave tomorrow. I have a show in Miami the day after tomorrow. William, why don't you come with me to Miami? After my show, we can have a great time exploring the city."

Miami? That would be perfect. William replied, "Why don't we leave tonight? I have a private jet waiting at the airport. We can head to Miami now and have some fun before your agent catches up. You'll be all mine, except for the time you're walking the runway."

"You think you can just whisk me away, don't you, William?" Alessandra giggled, caressing William's face. "You're such a bad guy, wanting me all to yourself."

William smiled, feeling her hand's soft touch. "I just want you to show me around Miami. I've never been to the USA before, my dear."

"Ha ha ha, don't think I don't know you're a bad boy, but I like this kind of bad. William, should we go to my room?" Alessandra whispered seductively into his ear.

Just as William was about to agree, Alex Demetrios walked into the casino with a scowl on his face. He exchanged chips at the bar and then glared at Alessandra, before shifting his gaze to William with a look of disdain.

Demetrios exchanged £20,000 worth of chips, making a dismissive gesture towards William as if he were a pauper, while tossing some chips towards Alessandra.

Damn, did he just look down on me for not having money? William thought. If I don't put you in your place, I'll no longer be William Devonshire.
