Alexandre's crusade (3)

"I know most of you don't even have a single piece of furniture in your houses. While those who have them have antiquated and dilapidated pieces of furniture that are not durable and lacks aesthetics. If you want to live a life of luxury, then welcome it with open arms." Alexandre walked a few steps and almost reached at the edge of the roof of the carriage, he pointed at something that was covered by a sheet of linen and ordered a knight to remove the linen thus revealing several items.

There was a single set of sofa, a bed, a stool, a table, a cupboard, several chairs, a working bench and a few other furniture items.

"Woooaah!" The people who saw what was revealed after the linen sheet was removed could not help but cry.

The furnitures were exquisitely made with the utmost workmanship. The carpenters truly took their time to make those items and the people in the crowd could not help but wish that those furnitures were theirs.

In a moment, no one uttered a word as they satiated their eyes with what they were seeing.

Alexandre nodded his head and smiled, this was the reaction that he wanted.

Timofei Shubin was a 14 years old carpenter who had his workstation at the Whiten market. He was among the few people who usually forced themselves into an occupation even if they were inept at it. In summary, Timofei was a failed and incompetent carpenter. The items that he made were amorphous and undesirable but people usually bought them because they were cheaper. However, when Timofei saw the pieces of furnitures that were revealed by Alexandre, he nearly stumbled after his heart skipped a beat.

"King Virtya will kill me and my job. I can't compete even if I am given a hundred years to copy what has been revealed here. If I am ordered to make something of the same design, I will definitely fail. I wouldn't be able to. If these furnitures are allowed into the market, then my workshop will have to close down." Timofei was defeated. Energy drained from him and he could not utter a word as his mouth was agape. But in the next moment, energy returned to him when something clicked in his mind... 'Yes, the price of those furnitures. How can I forget that those exquisite items could not be affordable to any simple individual like us. I still stand a chance.'

Just like Timofei, the other youths who were screaming that they wanted to have the items that were displayed suddenly kept quiet and stared back at Alexandre with questioning looks.

Alexandre clicked and said,

"Actually, all the furnitures that were made had already been bought and what you are seeing in front of you are the only items that remained, thus, these furnitures would be put to auction and don't come to the auction house if you don't have money... At least, your pocket should be screaming of gold coins and that's why I am selling the invitation tickets at 50 silver coins each." Alexandre said as he waved one of the invitation tickets to the crowd.

"This is bullshit! 50 silver coins for an invitation ticket? Are you serious! "50 silver coins could feed a man for an entire month if they are not using drugs or women... That's alot for an invitation ticket... I won't buy it. They are just pieces of wood that anyone out there could make. Guys... I think Timofei's workshop has seen the designs. We just need to order from him and he would make for us the cheaper versions of these items. We don't have to buy these overated items."

"I was planning to buy at least a chair but that ticket thing has opened my eyes... I won't be spending my money on that."

However even if many of the denizens refused to buy the auction house tickets, there were a few who bought them. These were the wealthy denizens and especially the merchants from other kingdoms especially from Litkesh kingdom... In just a minute, all the fifty tickets that Alexandre had were sold out.

After the ticket selling, Alexandre continued,

"I have the last merchandise that I want to inform you about. That's the carriages that were resently made by his majesty king Virtya."
