Ash had temporarily sent the Lapras he hatched back to the sea with the rest of his tribe plus his old Lapras.
Just as he was still young and wanted to travel around the different regions, his young Lapras also wanted and needed to see the sea to gain the experience that he could rarely give.
No matter how much Ash takes him to travel to various sea areas with archipelagos near it, it will never be better than following his own tribe to explore the real sea, the place it was destinies for!
The Lapras that Ash had caught back in the Orange Islands has obviously become more stronger and braver because of all the things that she went through with him and especially her family in the waters.
After their last separation, she even got the old leaders resignation and became the new leader of their tribe.
With her as a mentor to lead his still very young Lapras and travel the sea, Ash now feels that he can be rest assured a little bit more.
When they swim around the ocean and return back to the Marine Pokémon Laboratory, that's the moment when Ash and his little Lapras will be reunited.
For this reason, Naomi also promised to wait here, and she can also further deduce the migration route of the Lapras's species with this.
"Ash, this is the Pokémon Egg that you guys originally came to get!" When they parted their ways, Naomi did not forget the real purpose of Ash's group in coming here to meet her.
She handed over a wooden box with a gray-green Pokémon Egg lying there inside.
"Wow, this is the first time I've seen a Pokémon Egg like this!" Molly stretched out her finger and gently poked the Pokémon Egg in front of her, "What kind of Pokémon is in this?"
Seeing Molly's cute appearance, Naomi smiled and said, "I don't know what type of Pokémon is in this Egg. This Egg seemed to have been taken out by someone most likely from a poaching organization in the Pokémon Sanctuary near Mt. Silver!"
"I don't know why, but that poaching group abandoned this Egg randomly, so then this thing was found by someone I know and then they had it sent to me!"
So that's it, Brock understood, "Is that why you contacted Professor Elm?"
"Yeah, I asked him to protect the Egg and do a health check because Professor Elm is the Head Professor of the Johto Region and also the head of the Pokémon Conservation Association!" She said with a smile.
The group contacted Professor Elm to inform him of the progress of the mission that he gave them, "Well, Ash, since you have now obtained the Pokémon Egg, would you please come over to my Lab?"
"Of course, we got it! We were going to New Bark Town, so this is perfect." Ash and the others original goal was to return to New Bark Town to sign up for the Silver Conference, and this was a side mission which just happened to coincide with where they were going to.
So, after bidding farewell to Naomi, Ash and his party embarked on their last bit of journey in the Johto Region.
"Big Brother, what kind of Pokémon is in this?" After setting off, Molly looked at the Egg in Ash's arms and asked the same question for the tenth time.
Ash took the trouble to give Molly a small pat on the head and said, "Molly, you didn't even know what Pokémon Lapras was before he hatched out of the Egg. Isn't it more fun looking and guessing forward to what Pokémon it is inside than actually knowing the Pokémon?"
This is the third Pokémon Egg that Ash has gotten his hand on.
"Because this is the Egg of a Legendary Pokémon!" She said excitedly.
Ash looked confused, "Where did you hear that?"
"Big Brother Brock told me this." Molly sold off Brock directly without any hesitation in her face.
Hearing this, Ash rolled his eyes at Brock, "How many Legendary Pokémon are even there in the first place? And you said to her that there is one inside the Egg? Really Brock?"
In fact, Brock was most likely numbed by this fact by Ash because Ash had already caught five Legendary Pokémon through his Johto Journey!
Two Legendary Beasts, one Legendary Bird, one Latias, and the still young sleeping Celebi that Ash always carries around his neck in that GS Ball of his. Brock was almost really expecting a new Legendary Pokémon to hatch out of this Egg because of Ash's luck.
Ignoring the black lines on Ash's face, Molly again poked the Pokémon Egg in Ash's arms, "Legendary Pokémon, come out and let me see you! I promise to be nice to you."
As soon as she finished speaking, the Pokémon Egg really lit up!
"Its about to hatch." Misty and Molly said happily.
The group suddenly became very excited and quickly stopped moving around, happily looking forward to the moment when it hatches out!
However, the Pokémon Egg just lit up for a moment and then returned to its original state again, as if the flash just now was just an genjutsu that Ash and his party were in.
"There is something very wrong here!" Ash frowned. He had never seen a Pokémon Egg flash and then dim out of nowhere.
Both his Lapras and Phanpy were both shinning brightly when they were about to hatch, and that was the only time they shined.
Like when his Lapras hatched it was all bright, and so was the car for his Phanphy when it got brighter and brighter. But now this Egg seens to dim again and again.
"It looks like this Egg will have to wait a while longer to hatch!" Misty's judgment is not unreasonable.
Ash's whole body flashed with blue light, especially his eyes, and then his Aura sense penetrated into the Egg. Then, the Egg lit up again, but this time getting even brighter and brighter compared to the last time, and now the Pokémon inside was finally born into this world!
This is a small monster-like Pokémon with rock-like gray-green skin, a long obtuse horn on its head, its abdomen covered with rhombus-shaped red scales, and its tail blooming like an echeveria.
Ultraman's favorite tiny monster!
This is the initial form of the Johto Region Pseudo-Legendary, the Rock Skin Pokémon, Larvitar! Ash has already caught the Johto Region Pseudo-Legendary Pokemon, the Desert Tyrant Tyranitar, and now he has hatched one, this time the much younger one. If he can, Ash doesn't mind taming this little one to train.
But now is obviously not the time to think about this. The condition of this Larvitar is very weird.
It was not as curious and active about the world as a newborn Pokémon should be. Instead, it curled up its entire body together, as if it is particularly resistant to the outside world.
"It's so cute!" Molly reached out and wanted to hug this little Pokémon who seemed to be still sleeping soundly.
However, Ash pulled her over to him before she could try to pull it up in her arms, "Big Brother..."
Ash smiled, "Molly, this is a Larvitar, the Pseudo-Legendary Pokemon of the Johto Region. They normally are born deep underground, eating dirt while heading towards the ground level where their loved ones are waiting for them! They have a strong appetite and have even appeared to do some very extreme things. An example of this is eating an entire mountain."
"Don't look at it like you can carry it. It's just a newborn, but it weighs probably about 70 kilograms since it's just non. How much do you think you can carry?"
Although it is not at the level of the Legendary Pokémon's, it is definitely worth being as an ace Pokémon for most every Trainer. After all the appeal of a Pseudo-Legendary is very very big compared to most other Pokémon's.
"Oh, this is what your Tyranitar looked like when she was a child!" Molly suddenly understood this. She was adorably nodding her head to what Ash was saying.
"No, even for Rock-type Pokémon's, the body temperature should not be so low!" Brock, as an expert on Rock-type Pokémon and in Pokémon is general, quickly discovered that there was something wrong with this newly born Larvitar.
Ash also nodded after feeling it through his Aura that was still inside Larvitar, "We have to rush to the nearest Pokémon Center!"
This was a Pokémon from the Pokémon Sanctuary, and it would be handed over to Professor Elm later, so it was difficult to do much about this. Ash had to carry it all the way to the nearby Pokémon Center.
"It's strange. There is nothing wrong with the body. Why can't the body temperature rise? And it is still falling as of this moment. If it continues like this, this will be a very life-threatening!" Nurse Joy did not find out what was wrong with Larvitar even after inspecting it for quite some time.
"Nurse Joy, don't you have any other solution?" Brock didn't rush over to show his courtesy to Nurse Joy as usual. The most reliable thing about him is that he knows the seriousness of the matter when it comes to it!
"Not that I know of, I will contact Professor Elm first to see when what the next step is going to be!"
Ash also contacted Professor Oak, but Professor Oak seemed to have gone out of his Lab, "Tracey, please help me exchange for my Tyranitar and my Typhlosion!"
"OK, it will be down in a second!"
"Typhlosion, I need your help buddy! Please help maintain the body temperature of this newborn Larvitar!"
His body hair can generate high temperatures through friction, and is the least likely to burn. So this is best thing to maintain Larvitar's body temperature and help it rise.
Hearing this, Typhlosion wrapped Larvitar completely with the softest fur on his abdomen, hoping that the child would get better as soon as possible.
