Chapter 28: Training

From my apartment, in [Turbo-Stealth] mode, we all went to an abandoned alley a couple of blocks away.

But before that…

"Wait Tom, how will you follow me?" I questioned, since Steel was fused with me, and Buzz was inside of my pockets.

Tom took out a set of sunglasses from his bag, put it on and gave me a thumbs up.

Apparently those glasses made it so Camera's could't recognise him,

So after reaching the alley, I went into my normal mode and took Buzz out so he could watch Tom's latest invention.

I pressed a button and watched the cube transform.

It was just like the Turbo Bike from the show. With a sleek, aerodynamic design which had a metallic silver and blue color scheme accented by glowing enemy channels.

It integrated turbo energy for high speed bursts and maneuvers, with a weapons system and various transformations if needed.

"Well done Tom." I told him as he nodded proudly at his invention.

Steel had a spot to merge with the Bike to control it, so he went ahead and merged with it.

Tom was very considerate, since he even had a small spot for Buzz, and one for himself right behind me.

Or so I thought.

Since the next second Tom got onto the Bike and motioned for me to join behind him.

"That tiny spot is for me?" I questioned to which my cat nodded, as if it was obvious.

"No, move behind."

At this he got very angry.

"What do you mean you built it so you ride it? Didn't you build it for me?"

"HUH? What do you mean what I own is ours and what you make is yours!"

After relentless arguing, and eventually begging, Tom begrudgingly gave me the spot.

As I got on the bike, I instinctively felt like I would be able to operate it with my superhuman senses and Turbo Energy since it was built for me.

When I used the bike, I felt the energy inside of me drain slightly as it was used as fuel, and the next second I knew it, the bike turned invisible and I reappeared on the streets.

I weaved past all the vehicles and was easily able to hit 500 Miles per hour, and that was me deciding to go slow and not all out.

About an hour later, Tom directed me towards some cave he had apparently found online.

Steel also said inside of it I would be able to use Turbo Energy as I see fit and could transform.

Well then, first things first is to try my 2 new forms.

[Turbo-Clone]

I felt my base self split into 10 separate mirror-like images of myself, and the usage of my Turbo Energy increased drastically.

But that also caused me to feel the flow of my Turbo Energy better. I could feel it leave a part of my body and mind to fuel my transformations.

But it had to be channeled through Steel, if not I couldn't transform, but I would just make my modes stronger.

That didn't matter to me though.

What mattered was how I could increase the quality, quantity and the control of my Turbo Energy.

The stronger the control, the more easily I would be able to protect myself in the future against crazy villains like Zoom.

Maybe even the Reverse-Flash.

I then decided to try something drastic.

While in control of my clones, I activated another Turbo Mode.

[Turbo-Strength]

My main body transformed into a massive hulk like armor, and I felt my mind strain like crazy.

The amount of Turbo Energy inside of me decreased rapidly and I couldn't regenerate it even if I had wanted to.

"Lucas, anymore and you will lose control of all forms." Steel said in a calm tone, as he himself tried to help me regulate the amount of Turbo Energy I was dispersing into the clones.

I then decreased the amount of clones to 4, and made all of them use different modes.

Which worked, but made me go into maximum capacity.

And after all my training, I even tried my other new Turbo mode.

[Turbo-Speed]

I went faster, depending on the amount of Turbo Energy I used, and at its base, I could go around 300 Miles per hour, and faster depending on the increased output of Turbo Energy.

After training for about 2 hours, I made the trip back home, and on the way had decided something.

I didn't want 2 time people.

I don't think I even have the emotional bandwidth to talk to both Blair and Serena as if I would be dating them…

And since Blair and I had just sort of made it clear that we would want to see how we go, I will have to be transparent with Serena.

So when I reached home, I went into my room and decided to dial her number.

"Hello? Who is this?" I heard her say from the other side, since we hadn't really contacted her since we met the other day.

"Hi Serena, it's Lucas."

"Lucas! Nice of you to finally call me." I heard her say with a slight giggle in her voice.

When she sounded so happy, I couldn't help but feel a bit guilty about what I was going to do.

Is this how everyone felt? And I literally haven't even done anything that big with this girl yet…man, this sucks.

"Yeah, I just had something I wanted to ask you."

"Okay, shoot! I am an open book." She replied promptly.

"I just…I don't really know how to say this." I said, to which she kept quiet and let me finish.

"Blair and I actually decided to…date? It is all new, but I wanted to be transparent with you so it didn't seem like I was hiding anything."

There was silence on the other side of the phone for a while, which made me extremely nervous.

"I see…" She managed to eventually say. "When?"

"When what?"

"When did you start to 'date,' her? Before or after we both went to the cat cafe?"

"Well it was before that, but that was because of the mu…" Before I could even finish though she jumped to her own conclusions.

"I see. Well, thanks I guess." She said as she hung up

What the hell?

I didn't even get to defend myself at all?

Didn't she at least want to hear the whole story before jumping to conclusions?

(3rd Person, Serena's side)

The second I hung up his call I immediately called up Blair.

"What is it? Sort of in the middle of something." Blair said the second she picked up the phone call.

"And what is that? Busy lying to me?"

"Excuse me?"

"When were you going to tell me about you and Lucas?"

This time Blair didn't say anything.

"Wow, thinking about how to lie about this?"

"Serena, let me explain okay, when I we…"

"I don't want to hear it!" Serena screamed on her phone. "You knew how I felt about him and you still did that? How the hell could you lie to me ? What happened to having each other's backs?"

"Stop whining so much," Blair didn't let down as she herself began to argue. "And if anyones talking about lying, it's you! You promised me you wouldn't apply to CCU, so why did I hear about you coming here?"

"What? How the hell are you turning this into that? And shouldn't you be happy that your friend is joining your university?!"

"You and I both know the second you join you are going to take all the attention away with your holiness." Blair then paused before she continued, "You know what Serena, I have had enough of you blaming all your problems on me."

"BLAIR, I am talking about how you betrayed my feelings here!"

"And I am saying you did the same so we are EVEN!"

Tears began to swell up in Serena's eyes as she sobbed a little and then continued.

"Blair, you know Dan and I broke up 6 months ago…did you have to take this bit of happiness away too?"

"Yeah well in those 6 months you have whored yourself to practically anything and anyone you saw so don't act as if you are some damsel in distress. Now, I have something to get to so bye." Blair said as she hung up.

Leaving a sobbing Serena, as she threw her phone towards the wall, betrayed by the actions of her best friend.
