THIRTY-SEVEN

The house was quiet thanks to Charlotte being quiet herself. Even thiugh she pretended like she was fine, I knew she was hurt. It was just a day but Harry did play a number on her, he did seem like a good guy and I had hoped she was going to be happy with this one.

Karen and I wasn't sure what to say or how to console her so we just maintained absolute silence. I could see Karen busy herself by chatting with Juan, making me worried about her too. Afterall, they could be birds of a feather but I didn't want to push too much.

I made us breakfast and we gathered around to eat, except Char didn't eat much. I bet it was time to speak up. "Listen Char, you really have to move on from this… consider it nothing but your usual flings". I tell her and she just nods.

Not a word or a snorty comment, just a simply nod. Dude got her so good, I'm so killing him if I find him again.
