Maliks parents gape in shock at her audacity.

But her father's expression shifts, the anger slowly receding, replaced by a calculating gleam in his eyes.

He looks at his daughter, then back at the couple, a new idea forming in his mind.

"Robin," he says, his voice very soft, almost sickeningly sweet. "Perhaps there's another way to resolve this. I've observed a certain… affinity between you and Malik. A bond." He pauses, letting the implication hang heavy in the air.

"Perhaps something that would be… beneficial for both families?"

Maliks parents exchange a look, surprise flickering across their faces.

They clearly see what he is implying.

It's audacious, unexpected, but not entirely unwelcome.

It would solidify their alliance, and secure Malik's future.

Robin is non the wiser.

Rather her heart races as she thinks.
