The Saviors were a dangerous and violent group of bandits, led by Negan, who roamed the outskirts of Washington, D.C., seeking communities and people to plunder.
After surviving the advent of the walkers, the people who were part of this group were forced to kneel and follow a strict set of rules if they wanted to survive. They also adhered to a system where anyone wanting food or services had to replenish what they took by contributing to the community.
Led by Negan, these bandits managed to find Hilltop, The Kingdom, among other communities, eventually forcing their leaders to accept their demands, which consisted of receiving half of their supplies in exchange for not destroying the communities.
Dominic had warned his people that these individuals were extremely dangerous, and any hint of danger should be met with the level of aggression they deemed necessary.
As they were approaching, a truck stopped on the road, and a man with a lot of nerve dared to stand in front of it.
Dominic got out of the modified truck he was traveling in, looked at the man standing in front of him, and said, "The Saviors, I'm looking for them. If you're not one of them, then move out of the way before I lose my patience and take care of eliminating you."
"Hahaha, did you hear what this bastard said?"
"You better turn around or you'll die."
When Dominic heard this, he knew there was no point in continuing the conversation. He turned around, and several gunshots were heard from behind before the heads of the men who had stopped him exploded like watermelons.
"If anyone else stops me for these kinds of nonsense, keep them without asking me anything." Dominic thought taking the Saviors to the Washington refuge was a mistake, so he would take them to a new one being opened in Ohio.
The chances of interacting with these people without killing them were slim, but now what they needed was a chaotic group to show others how things were done.
On the way, there were no more interruptions, but when they arrived at the factory where the Saviors were staying, they found numerous men in many places aiming guns at them.
"Look at what we have here; did you come to the wrong place?" Among the group, a man with a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire stepped out of the group of men and stood in front of Dominic's convoy, not far from there.
Dominic smiled, gave a signal for everyone to get ready, and after positioning themselves, he approached Negan, who seemed a bit nervous about the firepower of Dominic's convoy.
"I've heard your story; it surprises me, but it doesn't scare me, so I'll be very honest with you; I need something from you and vice versa, so why don't we talk?" Dominic's gaze was cold. His tactical team intimidated all of Negan's men, who were confident in their numerical advantage but soon realized it wasn't as they thought.
Negan nodded and signaled for them to walk to a place where everyone could see them but not hear them.
Dominic approached Negan, who was smiling, and asked, "What do you think I need from someone like you?"
"I am your future and present; of course you'll need everything from me." Dominic was putting on the table the longevity of every community, which eventually would grow longer and reach a point where only well-prepared people would survive.
For the Saviors, living off others was feasible in the early years, but after living long enough, resources would run out, and they would end up killing each other for food.
The CRM classified these communities as useless and eliminated them, keeping only the organizations they believed had a stable future and could develop independently.
"You talk as if you know me, but I'm just curious; what is it that I'll need in the future?" Negan wanted to try to know more about Dominic, but soon realized this man was not easy to intimidate.
Dominic looked at the time and said, "Food, medicine, bullets, clothes, accessories, and various supplies. You may have it all now, but in ten years, what you have now will be gone."
"Who assures me that I'll be alive by then?"
"That's another problem; I'll also assure you that the future is uncertain for you." Dominic, who was offering many benefits, stayed silent and said, "I need manpower to clean, populate, and start anew."
"We're very comfortable here; I don't see the need to accompany you to use us as babysitters." Negan knew the offer was tempting but wasn't sure where Dominic came from.
"One more thing: the millions of walkers approaching this direction seem to think differently. Do you really not want to know more?"
