Chapter 439: The Fat Cat Patronus's Two-dimensional Journey

After saying this, Andy threw the light ball of the Wand-lighting Charm and planned to stand at the entrance and have a closer look at the murals.

"Why don't you come in? You're not a coward, are you?"

"Hurry up and come in; we'll tell you some secrets."

"Come in! Otherwise, I'll eat you!"

"..."

The 'people' in the murals yelled again. They seemed to be a bit impatient, and their expressions became hideous.

Andy was unmoved by this, and with a flick of his wand, all the voices instantly disappeared.

Using the light ball of the wand-lighting charm, Andy saw what was on the murals—it was the process of Ekrizdis's experiments.

Some people were hanging on crosses, with blood dripping from their feet to the ground, as if some kind of evil magic ritual was being performed.

Some people were submerged in huge iron cauldrons, with flames burning beneath them.

Some people were tied to iron beds, some were locked in cells, some were physically disabled, and some had various abnormalities on their bodies.

Some of the murals even had groups of Dementors.

In addition, Andy noticed that the mural on the ceiling depicted the very same laboratory that Andy had seen before.

Unlike the empty laboratory, the one in the mural was complete. The cabinets around the laboratory were full of all kinds of potions and flasks with human organs in them.

On the wooden table, there was a cauldron in which a potion was simmering, various potion ingredients, a few books, and an open notebook.

Apart from the absence of Ekrizdis, the former owner of Azkaban, these murals could be said to be a complete record of the 'first half' history of Azkaban.

'Why do I have to go in there?'

Andy thought to himself and pulled an empty potion vial out of his pocket, which he threw into the chamber.

Clink!

With a soft sound, the vial landed on the ground and rolled a few times, but nothing happened.

Andy used the Summoning Spell to retrieve the vial and used the Transfiguration Spell to turn it into a mouse—with Andy's current level of Transfiguration skill, this mouse was indistinguishable from a real mouse.

Its heart could beat, and blood flowed through its veins.

Even if you dissected it and examined it under a microscope, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference from a real mouse until the magic wore off.

Except for the fact that it had no soul.

"Go!"

Andy placed the mouse on the floor and nudged it gently.

"Squeak, squeak,"

The mouse squeaked as it ran into the secret room.

At Andy's instruction, the mouse first wandered around the chamber, making sure there was nothing unusual, and then Andy controlled it to touch the mural in the chamber.

Ripples appeared on the mural, and the mouse was sucked straight into it.

Andy: "!!"

The murals here...you can go inside them?

How did he do that?

Andy's eyes lit up, and the wand-lighting charm's ball of light floated towards the mural.

The 'person' in the mural was overjoyed to see the little mouse enter, and it grabbed the little mouse as fast as it could and bit down.

Andy: It really wants to eat me!

The little mouse struggled desperately, but its strength was too weak. After being bitten to death by the 'person' in the mural, it quickly turned back into a glass vial.

The 'person' slammed the glass vial onto the ground and then cursed and swore at the location of the light ball.

'Once you enter... can you get out again?'

To be honest, Andy felt his suicidal spirit burning fiercely.

The world in the painting is two-dimensional... As a person in the three-dimensional world, no one should be unfazed by the wonders of that world, right?

What exactly does the world look like in the eyes of a two-dimensional person?

"Hoo--"

Andy quickly restrained his impulse. Taking risks is one thing, but suicide is another. Andy had been reborn in a good family with cheats, so he didn't want to be reincarnated again.

Andy took out another empty vial and threw it at the mural.

Bang!

The vial smashed against the wall and broke into pieces.

'It seems that ordinary objects cannot enter the world of the mural.'

'Hm... I know!'

Andy waved his wand and summoned the Fat Cat Patronus.

The Fat Cat Patronus is a magical creature that is composed of magic and Andy's mental strength. Andy bonds with it, and it possesses a certain level of intelligence.

The key point is that the Fat Cat Patronus can dissipate on its own initiative, and Andy can summon it at any time.

As long as Andy is still alive, the Fat Cat Patronus cannot be killed by any force.

'Go!' Andy commanded.

The Fat Cat Patronus wagged its tail and flew towards the mural on the ceiling.

Without any obstacles, a ripple of waves appeared on the mural, and the Fat Cat Patronus was instantly sucked in.

Andy saw the Fat Cat Patronus spin around in the mural and land on the wooden table at the far end of the laboratory.

If it had been a normal painting, the books in the painting would, of course, not have had any writing on them.

But paintings in the wizarding world are different.

They are enchanted, so the books in the paintings do have writing on them. These murals in particular can even absorb living things.

Andy was eager to see what was written in the books on the wooden table and in the notebook.

The fat cat Patronus used its magic to turn the pages of the books, and the words in them lit up with white light, and as if they were alive, they flew out of the books and poured into the fat cat Patronus one after the other.

Very quickly, the fat cat Patronus had finished 'reading' the books and notebook on the wooden table. It flew around the room as if trying to fly out of there.

Andy watched for a while and then sighed, 'So...you can't get out?'

The Fat Cat Patronus circled around the mural several times and even went to other murals to look for a way out, beating up countless 'demons and monsters' along the way.

But all this was useless.

Unable to find a way out, the Fat Cat Patronus gave Andy a helpless shrug and then automatically dispersed.

Andy waved his wand and once again summoned the Fat Cat Patronus out.

"Big Cat, do you still have any memories from just now?" Andy hurriedly asked.

The Fat Cat Patronus shook its tail, and Andy then felt a sense of perception pass from the Fat Cat Patronus.

It was what it had seen in the mural world!

From the perspective of the Fat Cat Patronus, the mural world seemed no different from the real world.

But that's impossible!

The mural world is two-dimensional, and in two dimensions there is only length and width. Only a three-dimensional world can have length, width, and height at the same time.

In other words, the 'height' that the Fat Cat Patronus felt is actually false height—it's like a 3D picture that looks like it's in three dimensions, but it's actually just a visual trick.

'If you look at different dimensions from this angle...'

Andy thought, 'If you construct a "height" in a two-dimensional world, can the Fat Cat come out of the world of the mural?'
