Revelation

Exhaustion finally caught up with Alex. His flight faltered, and with a groan, he plummeted towards the ground. Fortunately, Sebastian, ever vigilant, caught him just before impact.

"W-Who's that...?" Sebastian stammered, his voice raw with fatigue and awe.

Jian Gang, his eyes still closed from his immense exertion, spoke, his voice laced with a hint of recognition. "If I remember that… that incredible control over mana… it could only be…" He trailed off, the name catching in his throat.

The Abyss, a wave of despair washed over Mercy.

The heroes had somehow managed to repel the celestial sword, their victory a bitter pill to swallow.

"AAA!" A primal scream ripped from her throat, a sound that echoed through the cavernous chamber like the eruption of a distant volcano.
