Patience had never been one of Derek's strong points. Especially when there was something that he really really wanted to be doing. Just sitting back and waiting to heal had nearly had him pulling his own hair out. His uncle needed to be dealt with, and Derek wanted to confront him as soon as possible.

But unfortunately for him, he had barely made it out of his last encounter with Sebastian Haven alive. He still needed to heal. But in all honesty. If Derek did not have toworry that Emily would follow him into danger.He would have gone to confront Sebastian in his current state. Using his crutches as weapons if he had to.

If his Emily, his wonderful, beautiful, brave Emily would not have insisted on following him into the fight. Derek would have gone after his uncle without a second thought. But for Emily's sake, he forced himself to stay hidden at the manor, and get better.
