The Results of Three Years of Training III

After his discussion with Adall, Fercyn continued on his way and arrived a few minutes later in front of the cabin where his benefactor was staying.

However, before he even had the chance to set foot on the platform at its entrance, he was called out from behind by a calm voice, but one that seemed both irritated.

"Are you satisfied with yourself now?"

The voice was not unfamiliar to him.

In fact, he automatically guessed the owner as soon as the first words reached his ear.

"Is that you, Evelyn? What did you mean?"

Fercyn turned around to finally set eyes on a dark elf whose beauty and silhouette could be the cause of a civilization's downfall.

She was dressed in a servant's uniform, but that did not detract from her beauty. In fact, some fetishists at heart would say that the garment made her even more beautiful...

"Are you playing the fool with me or do you really pretend not to understand what I'm talking about, big brother Fercyn?"

Silence!!!

Evelyn, Fercyn's younger sister, was the second and last person living in this unnamed forest on the black continent with Adall and his ancestor.

A little over fifty years ago, following certain events, when they were still children, these two siblings were forced to leave the forest of the elves and live on their own.

They wandered here and there for a while before almost starving to death, saved in the nick of time by Orion. They swore from that day on to serve their benefactor as best they could until his death.

"You're not answering, big brother?"

Sigh!!!

Fercyn let out a heavy sigh in the face of his sister's insistence.

He knew her character better than anyone.

He knew that without a good explanation, she would never let it go. Moreover, she might make a whole story out of it for several days or even months.

Fercyn paused for a few more seconds before his voice was heard again.

"Master Orion asked me to determine the limits of Adall's body and his regeneration. That's what I did, little sister."

"And were you obliged to win the fight even if it meant cheating? Where did you put that elven warrior pride you liked to boast about so much?"

The dark elf was momentarily shocked by her sister's new questions, but the shocked expression on her face quickly turned into a mischievous smile that almost said: so, that's it, little sister?

"I could never have dominated, let alone caused serious injuries to your beloved, if I had contented myself with deploying the true abilities of a 3-star warrior... Even if he only has that number of stars in his core, his actual physical abilities easily rival those of a 4-star. So, I was obliged to use an even greater force to have a chance to accomplish the mission entrusted to me."

"My beloved??? Where did you come up with such nonsense???? I'm just questioning your integrity. I... HAA!"

Even though Evelyn tried with all her might to deny her brother's theory that she was in love with Adall, she could not keep her usual calm after thinking about it herself for a moment.

("What if it's true? Am I really in love with Adall? Is that love?")

She, who had never before experienced the feeling she had been having towards the young boy for some time, could only timidly wonder if her brother was right.

A few minutes earlier...

As she completed her daily cleaning routine, Evelyn felt vibrations coming from outside, specifically from the training ground.

Worried for Adall who must have been there at that time of day, she hurriedly left the room where she was working and headed towards the origin of the vibrations.

However, it did not take her long to realize that she had no reason to worry. Even if a little brutal, she could tell at first glance that her brother and Adall were only engaged in a training fight.

Having never seen these two fight since Adall's 98th defeat over a year ago, she decided to watch the match for a while before returning to her usual activities.

Unlike Adall, being a magician and moreover of the 5th circle, the fact that her brother Fercyn used more than half of the 6 stars contained in his core did not escape her notice.

She thought at the moment that he must have had his reasons for using 4 of his stars against a 3-star swordsman even though it was only a training match.

Moreover, the latter was defending himself quite well against her brother's attacks. So, she decided not to intervene and just enjoy the show.

However, she was astonished to see Fercyn boast of his victory at the end of the fight.

She felt her heart break into a thousand pieces when she saw the smile fade from young Windsor's face to be replaced by sadness mixed with a hint of anger.

When Adall was sad, she was also without really being able to explain it.

She always tried to keep this fact secret, but sometimes her actions, driven by emotions, like her current discussion with her brother, betrayed her.

Fercyn, who had pieced together the puzzle from several situations similar to the one currently unfolding, could now help her put a name to the feeling she had towards Adall.

Love!

Evelyn, her face all red, turned abruptly and without saying another word, she began to run towards another nearby cabin.

"Evelyn, have you finished preparing for tonight?!"

"Haaaaaaa!"

...!

Too late!

She no longer listened to anything her brother said. Moreover, she disappeared the next moment from his field of vision as she passed through the threshold of the cabin she was heading towards.

Who would have thought that a person who had lived for more than five decades could have such reactions to love?

For the race of elves, however, she was still just a teenager barely out of puberty.

Fercyn looked for a few more moments in the direction his sister had taken with a victorious look on his face before refocusing on his initial goal. He still had to report to Orion and he had a lot to tell him this time.

So, without further ado, he opened the door of the cabin in front of which he had been standing all this time and entered it the next moment.
