"Shhh, can't you see he is upset," Shadow whispered around me as I stood in the apartment that I had in the city.

Usually, I go straight to the pack house and tell my mom and dad after every rendezvous or rogue killing spree. But this time I wanted to see Valencia first.

She had yet to come back from whatever riding she was on, and I didn't know if I should be worried about her or not.

I wanted to call her so badly already, but at the same time, I didn't want to make Carl suspicious and have him take her away from here where I won't be able to do much because as of now, she hasn't become as obsessed with me as I am with her and I don't exactly hold anything against her to keep her here in the name of investigation either.

I closed my eyes feeling annoyed, my thoughts a complete mess because of two women for the first time.
