Stephen Erika's grandfather

After riding on the back of the man invited Jay, they finally reached Waterwell City,

"It's Massive" Jay stated.

"No, it's not, this city only has 800k citizens and 300k were army personnel and adventurers" the man corrected Jay,

Two guards wearing the same uniform checked and inspected everyone who wanted to enter the city.

The man reached cut reached at guard's table a saw a golden plate, Jay glace at the plate, "Norman Family" was written on it.

Both guards stop bickering and stand up, please enter sir, you do not have to pay entry fees.

This is the first time Jay enter in city after coming in this world,

"Interesting" Jay muttered before emerging himself look at difference between his world and this world.

"Right" Man said "do you know Waterwell City is a sprawling metropolis built around natural springs and rivers. You see those canals," man pointed toward left side "you can find them in all around the city." Man said proudly

After walking for sometimes Jay was standing in front of a white colored Mansion.

This mansion is a grand estate with stone walls and a lush garden where gardeners tends plants.

Although I could not see much but behind the mansion, there was a training.

In the training field, figures meditate and train with mana, the air around them subtly shimmering with energy.

"Let's go" the man beside Jay said before walking inside mansion.

After talking to her adopted father and brother, Erika following to her father's word did not leave the house and instead enter her room.

She sat in the middle of her room and start cultivating. Mana which cannot be seen by the people of her level, start moving around her.

Suddenly before she can emerge herself in her training, a woman appeared in her room.

"Erika" the woman called

Erika opened her eyes as her eyes automatically darn toward the woman who enter in her room. Seeing the old woman, Erika stands up

Erika who undershoots what her master was hinting shook her head before sitting on the and placing her head on her laps.

"You that right that, if you want, I can help you solve everything" Alice said in a gentle voice

"Child, I understand that after Stephen you closed your heart but, but you should understand that was not your fault, Stephen was ill before he found you, so don't blame yourself" Alice said as she continues to cares Erika's head.

Many years ago,

In the battle between Eldoria Kingdom and a neighbouring kingdom,

A cry of a 6-year-old baby resounded after a long battle.

Stephen who was checking for any survivor saw her and picked her,

Not knowing that enemies were hiding under pile of corpses and were ready to attack at any movement,

Just as Stephen turned around, they attacked,

Stephen was a king stage cultivator, so even though they ambushed him, he was able to kill them but, not without sustaining some injuries, as he was also trying to protect the child.

The child turns out to be a girl, and Stephen named her after her mother, Erika

The battle continues for many months, every day Stephen go to battlefield and return covered in blood,

Sometime it was his enemy's blood or sometime it was his own blood,

Stephen who wants Erika to go to waterwell city, but Erika never agreed and stayed with him

Erika, always clean Stephen after battle and if he was injured, she also tries to mend his wound. That was different story that she always failed, but her efforts matter.

Alice who was with Stephen first rejected Erika, but after seeing the little girl and seeing her and Stephen's genuine bond she also accepted her.

Battle finally ended in Eldoria's victory.

Stephen, Alice and Erika finally return to waterwell city.

Erika and Stephen always stay together like a real grandfather and granddaughter pair, it was the time where Erika smile, laugh and cry. She showed her emotion without hiding anything until.

When Stephen gets injured on the battlefield, he never recovered.

He just hides that form his adopted granddaughter, but one she finally found out that because of her, her grandfather was suffering, she blamed herself.

She ran away,

But a child, cannot hide form a king stage cultivator, Stephen found her very quickly and scolded her for the first and the last time.

Erika who understands that her grandfather never blamed her.

"Erika, can you fulfil my last wish" Stephen asked, Erika nodded as she looks in her grandfather's eyes.

Stephen chuckled seeing her cute granddaughter. "Can you promise me that you will never blame yourself" Stephen asked as he patted Erika's head.
