Brian explained with a bitter smile and then Yang Yi said in surprise, "Ah, sorry, I thought you two were good friends, so you'd want to see him as soon as possible. I didn't think too much at the moment."

Brian waved his hand and said, "You're young, so there are some things you don't understand. Just because someone was a friend in the past doesn't mean they still are now, and being an enemy in the past doesn't mean they still are either."
