Chapter 35: Banquet next is hero billboard charts

As he arrives at the banquet many of the media began to swarm Gunslinger and his sideckicks with constant questions and camera flashes that both the security and grunts began to create a pathway for them. As the lock arms to push the crowd away from them as many heroes followed with their formal attire. From many heroes from the top 100 heroes in America with their formal attires Gunslinger can see both old and new hero. There were a lot of times where his actions to expose the corrupt were making both the good people and those of the government who are concerned about their citizens saw their efforts went futile. The type of the problem was already under their nose all the time it was corruption within their government. The old Commissioner of the American Hero association was fired and replaced with a new one then at the same time checking their heroes right after. It was a distant memory ever since how he changed society not by the heroes today but himself he was the one who fixed heroes all by himself.

In the banquet there was a buffet displayed food and drinks a champagne tower, cakes, pastries, tables with names of the heroes and sidekicks, including some music. Gunslinger was enjoying himself a bit only as he eat some of the pastries and drinking the punch as well including taking a glass of champagne. He savored everything before he prepares himself for tomorrow's hero billboard charts he sees some familiar faces like Detective Roland, Stars and stripes which she wore a simple red and blue dress, Dirty Dan, Bella the fairy hero the new no.5 hero, and almost all of the top heroes from every state in one location.

Meanwhile outside a hitman is seen to be outside of the banquet with a gun Case with him in position in one of the buildings he opens the case as he used a Remington 700 rifle with a suppressor and a x18 scope. His client wanted to target two people the President and Gunslinger the Hitman didn't question his client but he asked his client to pay him extra for Gunslinger. As his client did he was satisfied as he is looking at his scope as the crosshair is targeting Gunslinger he has to kill him first before the president and fast.

As Gunslinger was talking to several important people in America like the minister of defense, politicians, House parties, Heroes, and some of the security. As he did the announcer announced the arrival of the president. As Gunslinger was about to greet the president but was blocked by almost everyone from the party. As for his sideckicks they were having a blast as Crow and Raven were somewhat stunned but at the same time giddy that they are invited to a banquet. But their looks like they have no interest but within them they felt like this for a few hours. As for Cowgirl she was having a time of her life from enjoying the expensive and luxurious food and beverages also talking to her fellow heroes as well. In which she was enjoying her time in the banquet with most of the heroes of the US. As soon as Gunslinger greets and began to shake hands with the president all of the sudden Gunslinger felt something painful in his back like someone shot him from behind. As he winced in pain and leaned forward and flopped to the ground as everyone sees this they were both shocked and in high alert one of the grunts began to scope where the shot came from and all of his sidekicks began to check on him but there was no blood until.

"OW! That hurt... who shot me in the back" as he said and stood up and began to stretch and bend his back a bit to ease the pain as he reached from his back to see the flattened bullet.

"Ok that was a pretty dick move that really hurt." He said as h stood up like nothing happened.

"Ok but what the hell is your suit made of!?!" Stars and Stripes asking Gunslinger "Welp it's made of a special fiber inspired by a movie from the prequirk era "John Wick" the suit has special protective fiber disc made of Carbon fiber, Kevlar, some bullet resistant materials and my own method. Also working with an actual tailor from Italy to make it Italian to make it more original and looking like nothing changed until I actively used it. But there are some downside which I don't want to mention it." He said as everyone was shocked that Gunslinger made tuxedo suits looking like a normal suit but in actuality it is a working armor that can resist bullets but hurts.

News began to spread about the attempted assassination of Gunslinger or that's what they thought. They have discovered a few things about it that the bullet that Gunslinger felt as he was shot a the back was so painful that it left a large bruise and internal bleeding. That means it has the potential to penetrate and hit the President of the USA which means he wants to kill them with one shot but thanks to Gunslinger's modified suit it stopped the bullet from killing the President. As the news talks about it the Hitman was enraged about his shot resisted immediately with only leaving him to attempt to kill them once more but he prioritize Gunslinger since he's the big problem.

But with Gunslinger his gut feeling tells him that he's getting shot once again. But this time Gunslinger is not falling for it and currently preparing himself for the hero billboard chart tomorrow. And with all that he prepares himself his mule system filled with bullets, Energy cells, Arrows and Bolts, Rockets, Shells, then his Guns, from Rifles, SMGs, Shotguns, Rocket Launcher, Cannons, Mortar, Pistols, and some non-lethal weaponry. As he checks himself in his office mirror he was looking good and intimidating now since then after that incident. The next time he will see that hitman he is considering to take the shot and end him immediately.
