As she finished her shower, she changed into her pajamas and looked at her cell phone. The call had been disconnected. She checked the total time taken for the call and found that her father had scolded her for a good twelve minutes after she entered the bathroom.

She sneered and threw her phone on the sofa. As she laid on her bed, she let out a long sigh. This family had never given her warmth, but now they wanted to extort all of her hard-earned money!

Back in the days of the pat, she was afraid of causing trouble, so she would just send the amount of money her father asked her to most of the time.

Things were different now. She understood that as a human, she had to stick to her principles. Otherwise, others would just keep asking her for more, even if they were your next of kin!
