When Roselia was a child, her partner in crime was Ronald. He'd tell her the cookies were fresh out of the oven and she'd sneak two for them. He'd teach her the best places to hide in the house and where to find their father's hidden stash of snacks. He cared for her more than any boy his age would for a little sister.

Ronald leaned against the wall, arms crossed and tilting his head. He glanced at the folder in her arms and revealed a wry smile. "You're lucky Father was exhausted tonight. Or else, he would've found you right under his desk."
