Spike, struck by Garp unexpectedly, didn't get mad. His focus was entirely on that bone at the moment.
As Spike searched for the bone, he suddenly shook his head and glared fiercely at Garp.
Sensing Spike's hostility, Garp instinctively took a step back, his face flushed with embarrassment. "I apologize, dog. I didn't want to hurt you."
Spike bared his sharp teeth, causing the onlookers to shiver involuntarily as they felt his intense gaze.
Observing Garp still rattling the bones, almost as if he were intentionally taunting Spike!
Spike paid no mind to whether the towering figure before him could be his long-lost "brother."
There was only one thought in Spike's mind now!
To give this guy a thorough beating.
And then reclaim his bone!
However, Garp remained unaware of Spike's thoughts.
If he were aware, he might have punched Spike again in frustration!
But in this moment, Garp, realizing his mistake, focused on soothing Spike's emotions, completely forgetting about the bone in his hand.
Observing Garp's continued provocation, Spike's anger intensified, his cheeks flushing red. He grinned mischievously, sucking his thumb into his mouth.
With a sudden swift movement, his fist swelled up like a balloon.
Then he delivered a powerful slap to Garp's face.
Sensing the tremendous force behind the fist, Garp couldn't help but be taken aback. He quickly met it with his own fist!
Fist clashed with fist in mid-air, creating powerful shockwaves that sent the surrounding crowd flying to the ground!
As Spike and Garp's fists collided, countless cracks formed and spread around them!
Simultaneously.
Al, who had just emerged from the black market, intended to rendezvous with the underworld boss mentioned by the two pirates.
However, before he could take a few steps, he spotted a dark silhouette hurtling towards him from the sky!
Al was taken aback. He swiftly dodged and scanned his surroundings vigilantly.
Just as he pondered whether someone in the black market had noticed his wealth and harbored ill intentions, a familiar figure emerged from the deep pit created moments ago.
"Tom? How is it possible!"
Al was both surprised and relieved, but he remained puzzled. Who could have sent Tom flying like that?
Tom shouldn't have the freedom to launch himself like a projectile, should he?
However, that possibility couldn't be entirely dismissed. After all, Tom's thought process is entirely different from that of ordinary people.
Just as Al pondered, Tom shook himself vigorously, shedding all the carefully crafted disguises he had worn.
With a furious expression, he retrieved a mace from behind him, fully prepared to confront that foolish dog, completely disregarding Al's presence.
"Tom?"
Al called out once more.
Tom paused momentarily, discarding the mace when he noticed Al, then he hugged Al's thigh, tears streaming down his face in distress.
Al was rendered speechless, contemplating that if he hadn't witnessed Tom holding a mace with an angry expression just moments ago, he might have truly trusted him.
But could anyone dare to bully Tom? Was that something Al could tolerate?
"Tom, whoever dared to bully you, I'll take care of them for you!"
Upon hearing Al's words, Tom promptly gestured in front of Al, indicating that he had been harassed by Spike and his siblings.
However, despite Tom's prolonged gesturing, Al still didn't fully grasp what Tom was trying to convey. Seeing Tom's agitation, he finally spoke up.
"The stupid dog and his long-lost brother ganged up on me," Tom explained.
"Long-lost brother?" Al repeated, puzzled.
Al froze, pondering where Spike's long-lost brother could have come from. He hadn't recruited any new crew members either!
Tom nodded vigorously, then retrieved a mace from behind and handed it to Al, indicating that he expected Al to keep his promise!
Al accepted the mace, still in a daze.
To prevent Spike from being misled by his seemingly indifferent "brother," Al immediately urged Tom to lead the way.
Throughout the journey, Al couldn't shake off his worries.
Because Spike would only showcase his intelligence when devising schemes to outsmart Tom and take care of Tek.
If Spike encounters someone who doesn't know the way, he might end up getting into trouble for it. The most probable outcome is being extorted for money after getting caught!
That's why Al instructed Spike to stick with Nami when they disembarked for purchases.
However, when Al arrived at the scene, he was utterly dumbfounded by what he saw.
Two burly dogs were locked in a fistfight!
The shockwaves rippling through the air hinted at the intensity of the clash between two formidable opponents!
Al noticed the figure in white attire, with the word "justice" embroidered on the cloak draped behind him, topped with the unmistakable dog head hat.
A sense of relief washed over Al.
He returned the mace to Tom and found a comfortable spot to sit, content to observe quietly from the sidelines.
Tom hesitated briefly, then handed the mace back to Al with a nod of his head, directing Al's attention towards Spike and Garp.
Then, Tom placed his hand on his neck and made a throat-slitting gesture, indicating for Al to finish them off.
A bead of cold sweat formed on Al's forehead as he responded softly, "Tom, stop joking. None of us will get involved in this fight."
Tom looked puzzled for a moment, then shrugged and deftly pulled out a variety of melon and fruit snacks.
It seemed to be a habit of Tom's. Whenever he watched a spectacle, he had to do so while munching on snacks!
Gradually, Al found himself being drawn into Tom's antics.
One man and One cat, engaged in lively conversation, raising their glasses in cheer, all the while watching Spike and Garp's epic showdown with smiles on their faces!
Meanwhile, in a dimly lit alleyway,
Corpses littered the ground in every direction.
With a smile adorning her face, Carina perched atop a corpse, gazing at the terrified figure before her. She spoke with a casual tone, her smile never faltering.
"What a bunch of fools. I struck a deal with you using money, yet you still dared to deceive me?"Β
"Now, spill it. I want all the information you have on that Devil Fruit!"
