After what seems to be forever in darkness, a crack of light that slowly filled his whole vision blinded him. Although he couldn't visualize anything, he felt warm.
'It's seeming like I'm getting closer to hell, after an eternity of darkness, I can feel some heat' Zias thought
But suddenly he could slowly open his eyes and he could discern what seems to be a gigantic ladies face.
As he opened his eye fully and practically stared at the woman in displeasure and confusion, displease as one could say she had a very displeasing face
'This is terrible the first thing I see is a hideous monster and I can't do anything, I guess all I can do is accept my fate' he thought as he tried to struggle around however the blanket around the that was tightly wrapped constricted his movements, he couldn't help but feel uneasy.
*Count Casmir, I have safely delivered the baby, However the mistress wasn't as lucky* the supposed Doctor said sullenly.
At that moment Zias felt weightless and gradually got further away from the ugly looking woman and had a glimpse at her whole outfit and the fact her hands were empty as he shortly landed in someone else's hands, he noticed that the woman had a sort of medieval outfit that looked like a long and black cloak on
but did not pay much attention as he shifted his gaze to a relatively handsome man with grayish hair as far as he could see and a neatly with red crimson eyes looking at him distastefully.
*WHAT! how could this be, I clearly made stated that abandon the child and save my wife if any unexpected event occurs* the count practically roared.
The doctor looked at the count without fear and said *Count I suggest you mind your tone, although I may have been expelled from the Magus Association doesn't mean your above me*
As the count realized his mistake he sighed and apologized for his discourtesy and gave Zias to a maidservant and seemed to give some instructions to the servants.
Zias was sure he wasn't in hell after what he witnessed, although he didn't understand what they were saying, he knew a lot of emotions were being thrown from the short interaction they had.
'Have I actually been reborn? HAHAHAHAHA, very well, since the heavens has given me another chance then I should at least make this life as memorable as possible' Zias although baffled couldn't contain his excitement of being reincarnated like what he read in his previous life.
In Zias's past life, he was a nobody, everything he did in his life was average at best, he was raised by both parents however, they paid little to no attention to him as they all their focus was on his younger brother, Andrew. Everything he did, her always achieved with flair. They both practically did the same activities growing up, such as swimming, Karate, Qigong and more. However, the only thing Zias could really do good decently growing up was Qigong as it didn't require much physical activity.
However, Andrew was the complete opposite, he hated Qigong because it was nothing but breathing and slow and gentle movements. Andrew would always go for the more extreme sports and get a lot of medals from competitions.
Zias was never envious, as a matter of fact, he was very proud of his brother as they had a close relationship growing up, he would always be cheering him in the crowds when Andrew was participating in a competition.
They had a harmonious and brotherly relationship. Well, that was until their parents decided to start sowing discord between them using phrases such as "Zias is being a bad influence on you" and "You two are different, Andrew, start focusing on yourself from now on".
In time, their brain-washing paid off and Andrew ended up distancing himself and started acting arrogant and conceited around Zias, eventually, they both grew up, Zias had to go to university and Andrew started his professional MMA Career. Due to their parent discord, they never saw each other again, well apart from the occasional MMA fights on TV.
Zias finished university and got his degree and after being jobless for around 2 years he found a minimum salary paying job that had nothing to do with his degree.
Zias is now 50 years old on his birthday alone, outside on a rainy night contemplating his whole life and where things started to go wrong as he ruminated about his so-called family, a strong emotion of anger and annoyance filled him.
"Why, why! I was your son too, regardless of what I was good or bad at, why did you treat me with such disdain!!" as if unbottling all his compressed emotion from childhood he ranted on and on until his voice couldn't bear it any longer and what was left was serene silence and a trembling old man standing near his parent's grave.
Zias always liked to maintain a calm composure as outbursts usually lead to regrets, and his life was practically hell itself.
'Snap'
As Zias was about to leave, he heard the sound of a twig break and looked back to see his little brother Andrew approaching.
"Pff, Zias, don't you think that being here would anger my parents" Andrew said after drawing closer to the grave
"Your? you mean our parents" replied Zias in his hoarse voice from venting
"It seems you came here to shout out to them" Andrew answered back deducing from hearing Zias' coarse voice
As both gazed at each other one from pity and the other from annoyance, Zias decided to bottle his emotions and turned around to leave, leaving Andrew to see his pitiful back.
As Zias was heading back to his house he wasn't feeling too good. The venting and the shock of seeing his brother after around 35 years took a toll on him.
As he was crossing the road, using his hands to massage his temple to settle down the headache surfacing, he saw a bright light intensifying every second from the right side of his vision. As he turns his head to figure out what is going on, he is already dancing in the air like the characters from Happy Wheels.
Once he landed on the floor with a disturbing 'thud' he roughly made out what happened due to agonizing pain coursing through his body.
Yes, the thing that every protagonist fears, the unbeatable Truck-kun has done it again. Zias slowly loses consciousness and hears muffled panicked shouting, he ventures further into the embracing feeling.
