"Ahh! What happened?"

I looked around the area, and I seemed to be deep in a forest. You know, the typical kind you'd see in the opening of a show or whatever. Towering trees, majestic birdsong, glimmering sunlight and so on. What had happened last night? I remember getting a sketchy email... but after that, everything went black. Did it take me here? Was I kidnapped? How do I even get back?!

There's not much to see. Lots of trees, and it's quite dark and damp. It seems I can barely see a few feet in front of me, and my ears are ringing with the sounds of various cries from different animals. There were probably no other people nearby.

"What the heck was that?" I muttered, looking around again. There was nobody near me, yet a voice echoed throughout my head. "One piece? A system? No way... Wait I didn't accept any of this!! Take me back!"

"Hey! Tell me what's going on first! Is this a prank? Where am I? Why can I hear you?" I shouted at the sky. The voice did not respond. "Damn..."

I looked around for a bit again. If this was real, I could easily be eaten by some animal or whatever. It really did seem legit. The trees, the lighting and the subtle sounds couldn't have been from a dream nor a simple prank.

I thought for a moment and decided to go with it. "Hey, at least show me what devil fruits I can choose."

"Yeah, yeah."

The screen then turned into a list of about 50 different devil fruits. Although it was a long time since I had watched the anime, I knew that none of the devil fruits were a part of then show. I was honestly not happy about having to choose one, knowing that I might regret it later. I didn't know how long I would be staying here, or if there was even a way to return. Besides, I probably couldn't eat more than a single fruit. So, I took my time to read through all of them.

"Arrhhh!! Got damn, it's so hard to choose..."

"Oh, thank god, yes."
