Ezra stood facing Karanaki, who had a wide grin on his face. He never thought Ezra would risk his own life against the impossible.
"I thought you would be a cold, heartless person," Karanaki said.
"Don't get it wrong; they would simply be in the way, so I had to get rid of them," Ezra said.
"Is that so? Well then, you must be really confident if you believe you can take out a grand wizard. The difference is not something crossable," Karanaki said.
"Watch and see," Ezra said, taking a stance with the tip of his scythe pointing upwards.
Karanaki smiled once more, then formed a blood sword in his hand.
"If close range is your strength, then I'll indulge you," Karanaki said.
"I am not indulging you," Ezra said. He ordered all his shadows to rush towards Karanaki, wanting to wear him down before the fight.
The shadows stormed from all angles, attacking whatever openings they could see on Karanaki.
