He saves her life

Oberon came back that evening, he noticed that the palace was in a sort of chaos.

He frowned and looked around, the servants noticed his presence and they all stopped moving.

*What's going on here? Why is everyone so disorganized?" He said, his eyes cold.

They all exchanged looks, each person afraid to tell him what had happened.

"I ask again, what is going on here? Why are you all disorganized?" His eyes had darkened.

Elena was descending the stairs that moment, "Oh, Oberon." She said.

He looked at her, "Mother, what's going on here? Why is this place not in it's usual organized state?" He squinted his eyes.

Elena sighed, "It's Nyx, she's missing."

He furrowed his brows, "What do you mean she's missing? She was here for only a few hours and she's missing?!" He yelled.

The servants shuddered.

"Mother how could you let her slip away? Who knows where she has gone to? How did she go missing?!" He roared.

"Calm down Oberon, we'll find her, we just have to keep looking." Elena said.

Oberon was too angry to listen, "Don't you dare talk to me! You're all are bunch of useless people who just breathe and occupy my space and waste my money!"

Elena was hurt by his words but she knew he was angry. She sighed and held her head.

He angrily stormed out.

"I hope he finds her." She said silently.

Nyx sat on a log rubbing her aching feet. She darted her eyes, her clothes were no where around. She gulped and shivered.

"How did I miss track of where they were supposed to be?" She sighed.

She looked around, there was no where to cover herself for miles and she couldn't just walk around naked.

"What am I going to do now?" She hugged herself.

The cold was biting and it gnawed at her bare skin. She closed her eyes and silently hoped for some kind of miracle.

The bushes behind her rustled, her heart skipped and she turned around. Her heart began to pound wildly in her chest.

"I hope it's not what I'm thinking." She said silently.

They stopped rustling for a moment, "Phew." She breathed a sigh of relief.

"I have to get out of here, it's not safe." She stood up.

She looked at the land in front of her, she didn't know her way around here. She hugged herself and continued to walk ahead, who knows, she might find something on the way.

She slowly walked down the road, the winds blew gently but along with it came the cold that so desperately wanted to rip off her skin.

She was shivering badly, "Why today? Everything was fine." She said with her teeth clattering.

The trees danced in an ominous kind of way, she could feel danger lurking behind the shadows. As much as she wanted to get away from it, she couldn't. There was no place to cover her head.

She gulped and continued her walk slowly, steadily.

She thought she heard footsteps behind her. She stopped and turned around but saw no one.

She blinked and continued with her walk. The footsteps were heard again, she froze, this time it didn't stop, it continued.

"Well, well, what's a little pretty werewolf doing here all by herself?" A voice said from behind.

She gulped, she was trembling seriously. The person walked to her, and stopped at her back.

"Going somewhere?" He said.

She shook her head.

"Then let me be your host." He whispered.

She shook with fright, "No, please, I want to go home." She said with clattering teeth.

He chuckled, "You don't have to be scared treasure, I'm here for you." He snickered.

She hugged herself tightly, "No." She whispered.

He laughed and walked to her front.

He was a rogue, from one of the rogue pack.

She sniffed, "I have lost my way home and I can't find it." She shook.

He smirked, "You can come to my house and stay with me." He grinned.

She shook her head, "I don't want to. I want to go home." She said, her eyes teary.

He smiled foolishly, "What are you scared of? I am a perfect gentleman." He held his chest.

She looked around, there was no way out except through a tiny path at her right. She exhaled and took to her heels.

He chased her. She ran as fast as she could. She quickly took a sharp right turn and went to hide behind a tree.

He came to that area but didn't find her. He ran towards another direction.

She held her chest and bent down to catch her breath.

She sniffed in and out quickly. She looked around. She was somewhere else, tangled trees stretched ahead of her. She didn't have an option, so she ran ahead.

She kept running until she could run no more. She stood for a while and looked around.

"Where is this place? What have I gotten myself into?" She held her head and sniffed.

The cold had become more severe and it was worse for her since she had no clothes on.

She hugged herself and continued to walk wherever she could.

It was completely dark in that part of the bushes because the trees blocked the moonlight, she couldn't find her way out. She tried using a peak of the moonlight to find her way out.

"Boo!"

"Argh!" She screamed.

"We meet again, princess." He smirked.

"How did you find me?" She gasped.

"Does that matter now? I have found you, that's what matters." He grinned and rushed towards her.

Not caring she couldn't see her way around, she ran.

She was slowly losing her strength and could barely run.

He caught up with her and grabbed her wrist.

"Let me go! Leave me alone!" She yelled.

"I'm not doing that today." He dragged her along with him.

"Leave me! Leave me alone!" She cried.

Her cries fell on deaf on ears. She was in tears, she cried and pleaded with him to let her go but he refused.

She tried resisting, she tried her best to release her hand, she dug her teeth into his wrist.

He yelped in pain and released her with force, she crashed into a tree bark.

When he had recovered, he rushed to her and grabbed her. She was too weak to resist this time.

"Let her go this instant!" A voice boomed.

He stopped and looked at the person.

"Let her go." He said again, "That's my mate young man and if you still love your life, let her go."

The rogue laughed, "Is she your mate? Is that so? Well, you're mistaken, this lady is my mate and not yours." He replied.

A force pushed him backwards and he landed on the ground with a thud. He tried getting up but the force pressed him down until he passed out.

Oberon rushed to where Nyx laid, "Nyx? Are you alright?"

She muttered some words that were incoherent.

He noticed that she was not on any clothes. He removed his jacket and clothed her with it.

He picked her up and carried her with bridal style.

"You'll be fine." He disappeared into the darkness
