Chapter 147: First Day at School
~Mash B. POV~
[Honno City Transfer and Acceptance Registration Committee]
Managing to enter Honnouji Academy I walked through the hallways following Ryuko to the area to fully register for classes. Seeing Ryuko exit out from the office I proceeded to enter inside.
Elegant furniture lent itself splendidly to a fountain set in the middle of the gargantuan opening hall. Beautiful portraits of a young woman lined the halls with each portrait, her expression did not change remaining pissed off.
Not before long my eyes landed on the female clerk waiting at the desk. She wore bottle glasses, a well-groomed suit, and a look that meant all business in a neutral tone said, "Good morning. Are you the other transfer student from America… Mash Bastion?"
I nodded my head confirming my status expressing a light grin to the clerk, "Yes, it is I. Good morning to you as well."
Having a stiff expression, she began to gather a stack of papers in front of me as she explained to me in a stoic tone, "Welcome to Honno City, home to the prestigious Honnouji Academy. Mash Bastion, was it? Yes, I was made aware of the transfers. After filling these papers, I will have you answer a variety of questions as per requirement."
Nodding my head I began to file the papers and ask her questions. Some were simple enough and others a bit invasive, but I managed.
All the answers were within the acceptable range. The Clerk processed the papers for a few minutes before she left and returned giving me a ticket as she explained herself in a neutral tone with a raised eyebrow, "Mash Bastion. Average grades. Athletic. Overall talents: 'Get Good.' One-Star Student, Second Year. Classroom 2-K. Homeroom Teacher: Aikuro Mikisugi. Have a good day to you."
Obtaining the ticket, I stand to leave curtly giving my thanks. Standing up to leave I talked to BB through my bracelet whispering with a raised eyebrow, "Get good? How's that a talent for me BB?"
BB responded through my bracelet blinking and beeping hearing snickering in a humorous tone, "Because why not Master? It's literally what you Gamers do though?"
I rolled my eyes at BB's antics. She's not wrong though but considering she has the A.I. freedom I begrudgingly regret giving her access to social media culturing my BB. I never knew when parents worried that social media would corrupt their kids till today.
Exiting the office room a portrait in the hall caught my eye. It wasn't hard because it's the biggest one of them all. Leaning towards it in front of the plaque. I wasn't gonna bother reading it since it belongs to the big boss of this world.
Welp. If anyone's to blame for me being stranded in this world blame the da bitch. Now where was that classroom…
/////
After getting to my class number from the office I walked up the stairs to class 2-K. Outside the classroom, I saw a girl with a large metal case on her back and a red highlight in her hair waving at her as she clicked her tongue. Yup, still mad.
Seeing that this was the right place I stepped I asked her in a nervous tone feeling the school getter all over again, "Uh, is this class 2-K?"
Ryuko soon shifted her attention towards me as she spoke in an annoyed tone shooting a glare at me, "Huh? Oh, yeah. The teacher told me to wait for the other transfer student, which is you so that he can introduce us both."
Ryuko turned and knocked on the door the blue-haired man opened the door and told us to stand in front of the class announcing in a tired tone, "I'm Mr. Mikisugi, your homeroom teacher, now onto your introductions. This is Ryuko Matoi and Mash Bastion, who have transferred into Second Year Class K today."
[MASH BASTION]
Not before long I blinked a bit surprised seeing my name highlighted in Japanese letters in the sky as I muttered out loud, "Huh… this is gonna be a running gag of letters shown in front me, isn't it?"
However, Ryuko looked at me weirdly, but the teacher spoke stunning me with his casual tone response, "Oh don't mind those, they introduce major and minor plot important people."
Both of us blinked. Oh okay… wait! What do you mean plot important peo-
Not getting the chance to speak up about the 4th wall breaks the girl before speaking up in a cheerful tone, "Hey Ryuko! This seat is open! Oh, and Mash! This one on the other side is open too! Yay! I get two brand new desk mates!!"
We both had weird expressions on our faces when we met the girl from before. Ultimately, we took the two seats that sat on opposite sides of the girl as she introduced herself, "I'm Mako Mankanshoku!"
[MAKO MANKANSHOKU]
More letters. Yup. This is gonna be a running gag.
I stared in the air before it vanished as Mako spoke in an excited tone at the both of us, "I'm so happy that I have two new desk mates! This is the best day ever!"
Ryuko soon asked the question of the previous occupants we took their seats from in a curious tone, "That boy out front? Who killed him?"
Mako replied that it was the student council and not to worry since it happens all the time she says. Hmm… I wonder what's the death rate for stupidity in this Academy. Morbid curiosity aside it's a legit question.
But soon enough the teacher spoke out beginning the lessons. As if on cue Mako brings out a box lunch eats it an instant and summarily falls asleep as we both yell, "She's already asleep?!"
This is going to be a very weird adventure. Well, high school drama was already weird enough. Just add in ecchi anime and we have ourselves a fanservice show. Better than the other choices at least…

[Later, Honnouji Academy]
Finishing up memorizing the notes provided in class thank God for my [Perfect Memory] skill reminding all of this. I waited for the other students to filter out and just when I got up the sleeping Mako jumped from her seat grabbing me by the wrist filled with energy, "Let's go! We have to catch up to Ryuko!"
I would've said no or not really. Surprisingly enough though she managed to drag me out of the class at a speed I didn't think a girl like her had. Huh… I'm now 69% sure she's using the Toon Force somehow…
Mako rocketed towards Ryuko and let go of my arm to jump at her, "Ryukoooooo!"
*Swooosh*
*BAM*
Ouch. That gotta hurt. Ryuko slid to the side and let Mako crash into the garbage. Both of us stared at Mako as she instantly got up and began walking with us pouting, "Aw, why'd you dodge me?"
Ryuko responded in a casual tone shrugging her shoulders and defending herself, "It's normal to dodge something that comes flying at you from out of nowhere, isn't it?"
Mako soon explained in a delighted cheerful tone why she tried to jump on Ryuko, "I was just trying to give one of my besties a hug! Besides we're desk neighbors, so let's try to get along, okay? Oh, that reminds me do you play guitar Ryuko, Get out and I'll sing!"
Make began to sing. It was a horrible short experience. It was like cats scratching at the mirror and metal at the same time.
Ryuko clasped her hands to her ears as I spoke with my sensitive enhanced hearing hurting from the song, "Please stop…"
Even she agreed as Ryuko asked the next question as I used [Healing Magic] to regain my hearing, "Yeah, could you stop, please? I wanted to ask you a question anyway, who's the top dog at this school."
Stopping her singing Mako smiled happily as she replied bobbing her head, "Oh that's easy it's – Watch out! Bow! Bow!"
Before she could finish, she grabbed both of us to bow. However, Mako only took a bowing pose, while Ryuko and I squatted down. Suddenly two long rows of students aligned themselves in front of a set of stairs, where a large young man wearing a uniform with three stars and a lot of spikes was walking down.
With each step, he appeared to be bigger than normal while the man passed as Ryuko commented, "He looks like a big shot. Is this guy all that strong?"
I sarcastically commented on her arrogance with my eyes rolled gazing down at her, "You don't say, what gave it away?"
She shot back a fierce glare at me arguing back grabbing her metal case, "I'll punch you again if ya don't shut up."
Soon enough Mako explained the situation earning Matoi's attention as I listened to what Mako had to say, "That's Ira Gamagori, he's a Three-Star Student. The Disciplinary Committee Chair, one of the Elite Four of the Student Council. Compared to us No-Star students, he's a super elite who's three whole ranks above us!"
Raising an eyebrow, I couldn't help but distinguish that fact and almost sounded offended, "What's this about us?"
Soon enough Mako explained the situation of the system in place that was installed by Satsuki Kiryuin gaining my slight interest, "Right. Our school uniform has amazing powers, and it's incredible when you wear one. They give you superhuman power. They're called Goku Uniforms and they run from One-Star to Three-Star. Student Council President Satsuki Kiryuin gives out Goku Uniforms based on a student's abilities. Long story short, they're awesome! Got all that?"
Curtly nodding grasping the situation Ryuko slowly nods as she asks in an obvious tone, "Kinda. In other words, the top dog here is that president."
*SHIII*
Mako nodded her head but soon enough suddenly a bright light began shining and the source appeared to be a young lady who was currently trading down the stairs. Satsuki is a tall and slim female with an angular face like her mother's. She has long thigh-length dark-blue tinted hair that has inward diamond-shaped bangs hanging over her forehead, blue eyes, fairly thick eyebrows, and a large bust. On her hip was a sheathed black katana.
[SATSUKI KIRYUIN]
Looking at the letters I lost any importance worrying about them. But looking at Satsuki, however, is a bonafide hardass with parental issues.
But soon enough Ryuko got up and stood in the middle of everyone in front of Satsuki declaring to her as she opened her guitar case and brought out a giant half pair of scissors out loud, "Hey there I heard you were the queen bee in this school, I gotta ask you something."
*Swooosh*
*BAM*
Instantly One-Star Students pounced only to be met by the brunt end of Ryuko's Scissor Blade as I took the chance to look at their levels. I didn't care much about the description just their accurate strength currently. [TOOS].
[Satsuki Kiryuin Lv.45 Heir of the Kiryuin Family]
[Ryuko Matoi Lv.20 Life Fiber-Hybrid]
Managing to take care of herself pointing her scissors at Satsuki she spoke in a demanding tone glaring at her, "I'm looking for the owner of the other half of these scissors. Prez, I noticed you were shocked to see this now. You've seen it before, haven't you?"
Satsuki remaining a neutral stance replied in a neutral tone eyeing Ryuko, "Would it present a problem if I have?"
However, the hothead glared intently finding the culprit yelled back and swiftly tried to attack Satsuki, "The way you said that. You're the woman with the Scissor Blade, aren't you?!"
She brandished her blade at charged at Satsuki without a plan and no regard for strategy whatsoever. Rolling my eyes seeing this cliché a huge boxing glove came in front of her and sent her flying, "TEK! KEN! FUN! SAI!"
*BAM*
Ryuko was sent flying away from Satsuki and crashed into some students, who were useful cushions for her fall. The Student Council President fixed the owner of the boxing glove with a cold gaze, "Fukuroda, I presume."
Fukuroda replied with an arrogant grin plastered on his face kneeling to Satsuki, "Yes, ma'am. Boxing Club Captain Takaharu Fukuroda. Permit me to leave this to me!"
[TAKAHARU FUKURODA]
Meh. Not gonna bother looking at his level. But the sounds of Ryuko being pummeled by the Boxing Captain despite her best efforts. Her horrified expression contrasted with his laid-back perpetually mocking smirk.
Hmm… Sigh, [TOOS].
[Takaharu Fukuroda Lv.30 Boxing Club Captain]
Not as strong as I thought. But I suppose I can help her out a bit, thankfully I'm not an anime protagonist otherwise this kind of shit wouldn't work. But if it's to piss off these arrogant people then I aim to please after a few encounters in other dimensions. It's showtime.
Seeing that Fukuroda's massive glove was about to collide with Ryuko I blurred ahead using [Sprint] seeing it was nearly impossible speed. I said nearly since I felt a pair gazing at me as I blocked the attack with my hand.
*BOOOOM*
The massive explosion of force kicked up all the dust in the area. No damage was done as both were shocked, I appeared as I greeted them with a confident expression, "Sup Gear Eyes missed me?"
The shock passed over how I easily dealt with the attack with Ryuko growling at me for the nickname in an annoyed tone, "I told you to stop calling me that you asshole! Why did you interfere?"
I simply shrugged honestly replying ignoring the boxer's response entirely, "Kinda wanna give you a hand because the Boxer over there is wrecking you."
Fukuroda tried to talk but I ignored his words as I sighed talking to Ryuko to conduct the legendary technique known to mankind for such moments, "Sigh… listen, Gear Eyes, there is a way you can beat him, a legendary technique that was passed down from generation to generation for moments like this."
Everyone, including Satsuki, watched with curiosity to see the fabled technique. I whispered to Ryuko the infamous technique that surpassed the gods as she looked at me with shocked eyes.
I grinned mischievously only for her to see jabbing my thumb their expectations as she slowly grinned getting the idea in a confident tone, "Oh, right, it's THAT technique. Yeah, it'll work."
Seeing the shift change in expression the Fukuroda yelled out loud interested, "A secret technique huh? Bring it!"
Everyone was waiting for our expectations we turned our back on everyone booking it yelling out loud, "Runaway/NIGERUNDAYO!!!!"
We ran away as we split up. Best to not get captured together that's for sure. Ryuko stole a scooter, and I swiftly hid using [Presence Concealment]. I couldn't help but hold my laughter seeing everyone at Honnouji had their jaws snapped off and face faulted.
Even Satsuki had a slightly comically surprised expression. Just as expected from the Joseph Jostar family technique. But soon she regained her composure and eyed the entrance with apathetic narrowed eyes.
Using [Telepathy], I soon knew she immediately noticed I was rather unharmed by the punch that could have put a normal person into a brief coma. Perhaps this everyday school life would just work out fine.
