The two went back to the mansion when it was already dusk. They had a proper dinner with Thaddeus calling all the servants for an important instruction.
He was to give them a day off, so the two of them could have the house all to themselves the next day.
He didn't want anyone knocking on his door even tomorrow, and he simply asked them to prepare enough food for them to access easily when they get hungry.
And Naia was always hungry.
Anyway, he would be leaving very soon and he wanted to make the most of his time with his Naia—before he went to get married to another woman.
It could be seen that, unconsciously or not, Thaddeus had already taken for granted that Naia would understand him, that she would wait for him until he got back from the wedding.
Whether this was true, though, remained to be seen.
