An officiator went over the rules in brief, most of which I was already familiar with, ending with stating that the time limit for the match was 1 hour. However, instead of just starting then and there, we were allowed to take whatever positions we wished in the ring before the start. I went to the far edge, and curiously, so did my opponent. I had to feel a little sorry for them, though. In the Initiate Division, even some of the top 10 sects couldn't field an entire division at Soul Barrier Formation Realm. Since I had a Soul Barrier and my opponent didn't, I could tell enough from the crowd's vibe that most were already treating this as a foregone conclusion.
