The corpse faced off with me for a while longer, then unexpectedly turned around; it seemed prepared to leave. Although I had no idea of its intentions, how could I possibly let it go? If it got away, there might be even more dismembered bodies turning up later.
I still remembered that scene I had seen before: arms and legs severed by a rusty saw, carelessly tossed aside, skin stripped from the body, turned into a doll lying next to it, the ground almost entirely stained red with blood.
"Stop!" As it took a step, I didn't care whether it could hear or not and yelled out directly.
I saw the corpse pause slightly, then continue walking forward. It was heading towards the wall at the end of the tiled house ruins. This made it clear that it could understand me; it just didn't want to pay me any attention.
