Chapter 5

*Kiiii!!*

Screaming, the goblins ran in agony. Aldrich grabbed the running goblin by its neck as it was smaller and lighter than him.

He grabbed the dagger in a stabbing style, slammed the goblin to the floor, and stabbed the dagger into its head, killing it swiftly.

The goblin disappeared, leaving a small gift, a blue core. Aldrich took it and cast Necromancy, creating a new undead.

The small goblins' force reached the number of 50. Aldrich clapped his hands and, with a smile, looked at his undead. "5th room cleared." Aldrich was going room by room, killing goblins to increase his force.

The room was empty, with some remnants of equipment all broken and stored at the corner.

Due to that, fighting was quite easier. Aldrich didn't activate [Predator's Vision] all the time, so he moved cautiously, fearing moving too hastily would activate traps.

Mana was scarce; he couldn't use the skill every time. So he decided to use it when he was in a new area rather than wasting it here.

"Go!" Aldrich commanded, and the boss undead wolves destroyed the doors. Four doors were destroyed by four undead boss wolves, each accompanied by 20 small undead wolves and 10 undead goblins on each team.

Aldrich stood in the middle and waited for them. Not long later, screams of goblins resounded. The echo was really loud.

The undead goblins all rushed at Aldrich, carrying cores with them.

"Good job." Another 40 undead goblins were summoned.

After thirty minutes:

Aldrich moved in the hallway. He ordered goblins to move ahead. He didn't summon wolves, since they had no purpose now. Aldrich had collected enough goblin undead: 300 units.

*Click!*

Suddenly, a goblin touched something. Right after that, flames spewed up from the ground and burnt the goblin to ashes.

This happened so fast Aldrich couldn't react. Fortunately, he was quite far from them, as he feared something like this.

Luckily, only one goblin was burned. The others weren't harmed much. Aldrich summoned more undead goblins and fell back.

As the army moved ahead, they encountered various traps. Some goblins tripped on the wire and a bunch of arrows fired, breaking the five goblins' bones.

Some goblins stepped on the button again, causing the floor to split. The undead goblins fell down the holes where a bunch of spikes were facing up. Undead goblins broke down as they fell.

Another trap activated, which nearly killed Aldrich and his army.

As they reached the end of the hallway, a boulder suddenly fell from the ceiling and rolled down.

"Shit!" Aldrich summoned the boss wolf, and they hurriedly burst open a door.

Before Aldrich could store the undead goblin, at least half of them had already crumbled.

Storing the remaining one, he jumped into the door and fought with the goblins.

Exiting the room, Aldrich hurried to the end of the hallway and turned left. He faced the stairs that led to the next floor.

"That was easy. The goblins didn't even come to attack us." Aldrich's expedition on the first floor went smoothly.

The next floor didn't have a hallway. Instead, it was a huge giant room. Many old and crumbled beds were lined on the walls. Machines of various kinds, all broken, were thrown away in the corners.

Dust had plagued every part of the concrete. Walls that had cracks on them looked on the verge of crumbling down.

Roughly 10 metres further from the stairs, a horde of goblins stood as if waiting for somebody.

Nearly 50 goblins stood, and in front of the goblin army was a huge goblin. Its body towered up to 2 metres in size. A large club was in its hand, filled with spikes.

The goblin wore a large leather cloth underneath its waist and had dark green skin.

*Keeeeeee!*

Raising its club, the big goblin screamed and charged towards Aldrich. Aldrich, without even a shred of fear or nervousness, smiled gleefully.

As the goblin warrior rushed at them, ten large skeletal wolves blocked their entrance.

Each boss undead wolf was 10 metres in size. The goblin warrior looked pitifully small in their presence.

The goblin warrior didn't fear and struck its club at the undead boss wolf, making a small crack in its leg.

The undead boss wolves annoyingly slapped the goblin warrior. The goblin warrior flew and hit the nearest wall.

Five boss undead wolves went to deal with the goblin warrior, while the remaining ones jumped at the horde of goblins, who were trembling with fear.

"Now, now, this isn't the only present I have for you guys." One hundred goblin skeletons appeared in the horde of goblins. While the goblins dodged the giant wolves' attacks due to their small height, speed, and agility, the new undead goblins matched them in speed and agility.

Soon, this turned into a one-sided massacre.

On the other hand, the goblin warrior fell on the floor on its head. The undead wolf stepped on its back, two stepped on its hands, and another one stepped on its legs.

The goblin warrior tried to break free but couldn't.

The goblin warrior too was an E-rank monster. Unlike goblins, which were the weakest in F-rank monsters, goblin warriors were powerful enough to battle head-on with a single boss wolf.

However, each undead wolf here was E-rank, and they outnumbered the goblin warrior. So it couldn't do anything but be pinned on the floor by them.

The last undead wolf stepped on its head and patted it before raising it high and…

*Psss!*

Stabbing it mercilessly on the head, the claws dug deeper into the skull.

The goblin warrior couldn't even fight back and died helplessly. Aldrich, near the stairs, cast Necromancy on the Core as it was within his radius.

Similarly, he cast Necromancy on each goblin who turned into a core. The battlefield was already one-sided. Since more goblins turned undead and attacked the goblins next to them, the battle ended shortly.

However, that was just the first wave of attack. Hordes of goblins charged from both front and behind.

Hundreds of goblins charged from the stairs, and five goblin warriors, along with another hundred goblins, rushed toward them.

If it was a normal party of Supers, then they would have been in trouble, or had a hard time. But it wasn't a normal party; it was Aldrich's army.

"You picked the wrong guy, fools!" With a wide grin on his face, hundreds of wolves, along with countless undead goblins, appeared.

The whole empty area, which could fit a whole football stadium, was filled with skeletons. A huge, small, and tiny skeleton army looked at the horde of goblins.

Then, the battle started.
