Chief Village

Both of Cytherea's eyes fell on the woman, considering her presence as a bully whereas she highly upheld her status as one of the goddesses. "I have nothing to do with you, ugly woman. My coming here just wanted to take that person away from here for our purposes."

The villagers were taken aback, hearing a very disrespectful statement uttered as a comer to their leader. Not a few of them showed furious faces accompanied by whispers and small discussions about the methods that should be applied to expel the Goddess.

"How dare you, despicable goddess. Even the goddess is meaningless if you denounce the leader of this village. Your statement just now convinced me that you're the real cruel witches trying to infiltrate our village. I believe my remarks just now must be a truth." Xavier put on a disgusted face while frowning his forehead. He was so angry considering that as one of the goddesses she was supposed to show an elegant and dignified attitude.

"It's all your fault, human. You didn't hear my orders as a goddess and didn't help me when I got lost in this forest. Didn't you say that you like to help people in distress very much?"

"You're right. But that applies to those who use their mouths to cherish, not insult."

"In the end, you were naïve and talkative. I misjudged you." Cytherea squeaked her tongue as she shook her head. "Never mind, don't think of me as a bad stranger. My coming to this village is a destiny that can change this world and where the gods live."

"How long her continue to be delirious? Get rid of her!" one of the village guards shouted, provoking his friend while raising a spear.

The other village guards cheered as they took up arms, not disgusted by her brazen attitude towards the residents. Even the hard workers who had brought sharp equipment such as saws and machetes also helped catch a helpless woman in front of them. Then dozens of steps accelerated towards the stranger and some of them pulled back the women and young children.

Cytherea who has often been treated as an alien and ignorant never hesitates to demonstrate her ability to silence dissidents if what they are facing is a goddess. Both of her hands were facing each other, emitting a white light capable of blinding their vision.

Instantly the villagers lunged, pressing their feet against the ground with all their might until they slipped. Not having time to close his eyes, one of them or the one who provoked the village guards, shouted quite hysterically when his eyes felt an incredible heat like burning.

Xavier was nearby, instantly pulling on his shirt collar and helping him block out the light that was shining into his eyes. As the hero of the village, there was nothing Xavier could do as long as the White Light did not disappear.

He had previously witnessed the same thing but this time the energy used by the Goddess was a bit more to bully the dissidents and give her a low-level punishment. When observing the residents look helpless, Cytherea smiled maliciously and said,

"I won't turn off this white light if you don't beg me for mercy, humans. Even I could waste a little bit of my energy if ten seconds from now you guys don't kowtow in front of me. One. Two. Three." Cytherea starts counting, her eyes watching those who try to escape or carry out attacks that are very risky for themselves.

When the count of nine did not obey him, a person appeared from behind them who had been wearing helmet-like armour. He ran away with his hands raised, as a signal to convey something.

"Wait! Wait, Great Goddess. I want to speak as a form of forgiveness so that you don't kill my people. I'm serious and I don't carry any weapons."As evidence, the man raised both hands at once while jumping repeatedly.

Realizing some residents still had common sense, Cytherea obliterated the white light very briefly, before she even finished blinking. "What's your business, old man?"

The man continued to run, standing in front of them and prostrating in front of him. "Forgive us, great goddess. They are so excessive and we are weak creatures. It's my negligence to allow them to act without looking at the interlocutor. I am sure your presence will lead to guidance, Great Goddess."

The people behind him immediately raised their heads, not understanding why he who was chosen as the village leader actually looked afraid of strangers. Xavier is silent and his brain guesses if the village leader…

"Oh, I'm impressed. Of all the people in existence, you are the only one who recognizes me as a goddess. Get up and tell your people if they're really interfering with what I'm here for!" Cytherea gave her first order, which her audience would execute on the spot.

The village leader nodded and told Halyna and the villagers to return to their respective activities regardless of the presence of the Goddess. Not a few of them questioned her attitude but no one wanted to add to the anger of a very terrible leader. But one of them, only Xavier did not return home and instead approached the village leader and Cytherea looked at him.

"Xavier, I heard this great goddess is looking for you and chasing you to the village. Is that true?" The man asked, making sure.

"That's right, Mr Emil. I had already met him before sunrise. It looks like she's lost and... I think you can surmise my answer after seeing her appearance." Xavier doubted his own words.

Cliffside village leader Emil turned his gaze back on Cytherea while slightly lowering his head. "It is very disrespectful to let Goddess come to our village and get less memorable behaviour. What if we continue this conversation in my house? It so happened that my wife had already prepared lunch. That is if you don't mind, the Goddess of beauty, Cytherea."

"Wow, you really blew me away. You even know my name."

'Cytherea, huh... she seems to be a real goddess, although her behaviour is no different from that of ordinary humans.' Xavier muttered to himself.

"It's what I've wanted since I arrived in that forest, but this guy's always trying to drive me away. Now take me to my house before my stomach judges you."
