"So, you're saying I have to make 'appointments' for your patients. You won't see anyone without it unless an emergency", said Gen frowning. She looked at the receptionist's desk and seeing how modern it was made her waver.
"Well, tell me if you're fine with working as a receptionist or else I can pu--", said Han sighing impatiently.
"No, this is fine. I'm legit I can handle working on a desk. It doesn't sound so bad", she said hurriedly not wanting her master to assign her to work somewhere else. "But…what are appointments", she questioned.
Han didn't think that people in this world knew the concept of appointments. He guessed that it existed since he saw clerks at the herb alliance and the organization. Now, he had no choice but to explain everything to her.
Han explained every part of the job to her. Such as scheduling the appointment, organizing his time, and asking the patient's if they have a secure source of income and for what reason they're scheduling the appointment. To ask the patient questions, Han suggested creating a form so it would be easier for her.
Gen nodded, she was quite intrigued with the new concept of appointments, and she wondered why other organizations didn't use this. "Can I go to the desk?", she asked.
"Why ask? that's where you'll work from now on", said Han.
Gen nodded and went to the desk. She placed her hand on the desk, feeling the material it was made of. 'Very smooth', she thought leaning her body closer to the desk and smelling it. "It gives me great vibes", she exclaimed.
Han scratched his head awkwardly, seeing her smell the desk. He wondered if her quirkiness was getting extreme. "Ok, Let's focus now", he said ignoring it.
As Han and Gen discussed, a familiar figure appeared in the waiting area.
Hearing the familiar footsteps, Han looked back…Ellan was here, but why? There was still a day till the deadline for the money and he didn't seem like a rich dude to him so…
"I came to pay for the treatment. It was 45 silvers coin, right?", said Ellan sensing the awkward atmosphere. He felt like he had interrupted something important. He held a bulging pouch in his hands.
Hearing the amount, Gen's eyes widened. Were her master's skills that amazing? Now she knew why her master could pay 50 silver for her easily because his one patient paid him that much. But seriously why was it that expensive? Wouldn't this be limiting for him since not all patients can pay for his services?
"Gen, get to work. I'll see if you qualify or not", said Han using this as the perfect opportunity to test her work skills.
Gen nodded feeling excited. She got the hint that her master wanted to test her, but she wasn't one to back down. She was going to show her master just how skillful she was.
Ellan stood there tilting his head confused not knowing he was being used as an experiment.
"She will receive the payment", said Han gesturing to Ellan. Ellan nodded and walked towards the blue-haired lady. He put the bulging bag of coins on the desk.
Gen gulped seeing the amount, she tried her best to not think of running away with the money. Feeling the gaze of her master, she immediately focused. She took the money and put it in a locker which was underneath the receptionist's desk. Sophie had specifically designed that to be more accessible to the receptionist. Anyway, Gen skillfully answered all of Ellan's questions.
As Han observed Gen, he knew she had experience being a clerk before because there was no way she could learn everything on the spot. He could relax now since he had obtained a receptionist and a good one at that, but the most important part was that she could never betray him. He glanced at his bracelet and finally knew what It felt like to have authority.
When Ellan was done, he approached Han and asked some questions about Irene. Han patiently explained that she would wake up tomorrow and he could come to visit.
Ellan nodded feeling relieved as he had paid the amount and after knowing that his daughter would wake up tomorrow. He then went back to his master with a thought in mind.
As it was getting late, Han said "Gen and Blade you guys can go back for today". Blade nodded, ready to leave. "Why are you sending me away with the errand boy here", asked Gen narrowing her eyes.
"Do you have anywhere else to sleep?", said Han, he questioned knowingly. Gen remained silent and walked away with Blade.
"That's what I thought…", Han muttered as he went up to his room.
Han's Bedroom, Miracle Clinic.
After freshening up, Han hit the bed. He sighed thinking he had so much to do. Anyways, since now he acquired his receptionist, he could focus on the other milestones. But the problem was to achieve them he needed to level up that is why he needed patients. He couldn't figure out why his flyers didn't work.
Leaving that aside, Han thought of making 2 cabins behind the clinic for his workers. Though he hoped that Gen and Blade could get along.
An Inn Room, A Mile Away from the Clinic.
Gen and Blade stood across from each other. As Blade tried leaning forward…
***SLAP***
A harsh slap was placed on Blade's cheek leaving it red. He looked at her in disbelief.
"What did I do?", he cried out loud holding his throbbing cheek. "Not much, it just felt like you were flirting with me", she explained.
"Why would I flirt with you? You're an old hag", he said trying to justify his actions.
"That's rude. I think of myself as a beautiful lady. Who wouldn't want this?", she said as she pointed at her face filled with confidence.
Blade grunted not wanting to argue any further and went to sleep on the sofa. Gen shrugged and went to sleep on the bed which was all her's for the night.
