"It's not alright."
After a short pause, Leila turned to look at Mrs Baker before saying to her, "There is a big problem that we might as well not discuss, Mrs Baker."
Ryan who had been smiling till now turned to look at Leila, his lips set in thin line and even though he did not say anything it was clear that he was tense which was a given since his posture was way too stiff.
"Leila, there is no need to bring such matters up, is there? Our parents want us to get married and as this is their wish, should we not uphold it?" Ryan said to the woman. He was persistent, as if wanting to erase the past which had turned the entire situation upside down for him and Leila.
In his eyes no matter with whom he spent his nights with, he was going to marry Leila in the end. As there was no future where she did not exist by his side, for him –Leila had always been his and his own alone.
And he didn't want that to change.
