Chase in the dark

Somewhere else, Mrs Harlow was marching down the street with a solemn look on her face. Her lips were tightly pursed, and she seemed to be holding back plenty of words that she wanted to say to Ariana.

However, her tense muscles and quivering jaw were enough to let anyone who saw her know that she was enraged.

"That darned girl!" Mrs Harlow couldn't stop herself from screeching after she came to the bus stop. She had the money to hire a taxi, but Mrs Harlow was too miserly.

She was the kind of woman who would rather walk a mile rather than use ten dollars for a ride.

While standing at the bus stop, she raised the clutch that she was holding in her hands to throw on the ground but paused.

With a glance at the clutch, Mrs Harlow brought it back to her chest and hugged it. It was too expensive to be thrown on the street.

Her anger was one thing, but she couldn't dirty something so expensive and branded.
