Extraction

Vladimir dismissed Luna while Athena and Lanny stayed inside his office. The three of them settled down on the couch, facing each other. They still needed to clarify things.

"I owe you an explanation, Athena and Lanny." Vladimir acknowledged his mistake.

Athena just nodded her head, staring at him intently. While Lanny put on a smug smile as if she was telling him– 'I told you so but you didn't listen to me.'

"The reason I decided to eliminate Dominique is to protect the three of you." Vladimir started.

Both Athena and Lanny frowned as they gave him a questioning look.

"What do you mean? Protect us? Why?" Lanny asked him curiously.

"I discovered the truth. Aaron is not your son. He is Athena's son. That's why his DNA matched Dominique's DNA. I don't want my father to know the truth. But he is one step ahead of us. Fortunately, he assumed that Dominique was also Kimmy's father."
